So, did anyone notice Mario now becomes Tanuki Mario by taking a Magic Leaf ?
Do you think it's a retcon and Tanuki Suits don't exist anymore ? Or maybe Magic Leaves could always turn someone into his Tanuki form but Mario wasn't strong enough at the time to absorb the leaf's full power, thus only turning him into a racoon.

We're getting Mario Kart 3D, Super Mario 3D, and Luigi's Mansion for the Nintendo 3DS, and Mario Party 9 for the Nintendo Wii, all before the year ends! And the Big N also showed a tech demo of what could be a title in the New Super Mario Bros. line, nicknamed "New Super Mario Bros. Mii," because it allows you to play as you Mii character alongside Mario & Co.; It should be noted that the two of the three Mii characters were dressed like Wario and Waluigi (could they replace the Toads in Mario's next 2.5d adventure?). Maro Kart 3D now features three different "forms" of Kart: Traditional land mode, along with new hangglider mode, and underwater mode. Nintendo is also including some Kart customization features. Luigi's Mansion 2 looks cool as well, will iclude multiple new mansions, and features new Ghosts. Super Mario 3D, however, was the highlight of the show for me! It has Music Blocks, Air Ship Levels, and Tanuki Suit, etc. from Super Mario Bros. 3, but now Mario can do a roll attack of some kind, and the game has both 2D and 3D portions (ala Super Mario Galaxy 2). Also, it will be the first time that "Small Mario" appears in a 3D game. What did you think of the show? Did WiiU impress? How could the Super Mario series benefit from the new controller? Thoughts, pl0x?

P.S. Anybody else updated your Nintendo 3DS to version 2.0.0 yet? I have,and the eShop is pretty sweet! I'm also uploading this Topic from my N3DS's Web Browser, which is quite an improvement over the NDSi's.

P.S.S. I think WiiU's controller is cool and all, but I don't think Nintendo should just allow us to use our Wii Remote, they should make a new & improved version for WiiU! But, I guess the launch is pretty far off, and the system does seem to still be in the early stages.

I've given up on the AC series. Don't get me wrong, the games are great, but they just take up too much of my life. I simply don't have the time time to play every day anymore.

I covered this conference like nothing I've ever covered before on my Project Cafe page Best. Conference. Ever. Kid Icarus, SM3DS, Paper Mario, Kirby Wii, Kirby Mass Attack, Animal Crossing, MK3DS, Luigi's Mansion 2, Skyward Sword, Tekken 3D, MGS 3 3D, Four Swords on DSi, SF64DS, OoT3D, Pokedex/Excitebike 3D, both free.... The only casual title announced at the show so far was Mario Party 9.

Wii U. Terrible name, amazing console. They could have explained it better- many didn't even know it was a new console- but the graphics are 1080p native and the uPad (my pet name for the controller) is brilliant.
So far the games that have been confirmed for Wii U: Battlefield 3, Tekken Tag Team Tournament Two (best alliteration ever ), Batman Arkham City, Darksiders 2, an Ubisoft FPS, and an Ubisoft sports title. Series that will have titles: Mass Effect, Rabbids, and Assasin's Creed.

I am so hyped for 2012 that I am going to explode.

It'll probably be a launch title sort-of expansion to New SMB Wii, maybe a downloadable title. It's just New SMB Wii World 2 with Miis, but they'll probably expand it into a new game.

No, all 5 of those games are coming out this year, aren't they?

If I recall, the only Mario game coming out this year is Kart. Everything else is next year. If I had to guess, I'd say that Luigi's Mansion and Mario 3D would be in the spring/summer and Paper Mario at Christmas....but that's just a guess.

I certainly hope it comes out this holiday season! I do need more than 2 games a year you know
