I'm sure that this might have come up before, and I'm not sure that I, being the "newest of the new," have any right to say this. But the title of this forum, "Mariology," actually means "study of the veneration of Mary." I had a bit of a hard time trying to find this site on Google, as a result.
Thus, perhaps we should rename the forum. How about SuperMariology?

It hasn't been discussed, but I noticed this too when I use someone else's computer that the site isn't bookmarked to. And don't worry about rank. This is one of the least prejudice Nintendo forums out there. I'm not an admin, so I can't change it, but I think that would be fine.

Eh, true. But what if some theology major goes browsing the internet for a forum where Mariology (the actual Mariology) is discussed, only to find ramblings on Koopalings and goombas?

Good point. People do act really stupid sometimes.
Here's a thought. How about we change the name to "Mario-ology"? Pronounced mah-ree-oh-ah-lo-gee. It's almost the same but different enough.

Sure, that would work. I like how changes the title in the least amount possible. The only issue is, how will the users who aren't online before the change know about it?

The thing is, with Super Mariology, there will still be that one person that hasn't paid any attention to Mario and thinks that this is a religious site-just a very enthusiastic one. With a hyphen, they can't blame anyone but themselves. I guess that e-mail is the only way, but we can't be sure that they would check it. Sites with links to us (like Super Mario Wiki) will just have to change it themselves. Oh, and we would need a new banner too.

Or any of you guys really serious? How long has this group been around anyway. Well for as long as I've been here no one has complained. I say we leave it as it is. But if you do happen to change it don't leave me off the e-mailing list cause I will probably forget.
