Exactly what it says on the tin.
I realize that some people tend to have problems when trying to complete school assignments, so I figured we could have a place where all of us can help to brainstorm.
Remember, this is intended to be a serious discussion thread, so I'd like to keep the jokes to a minimum, okay? Anyway, start whenever you guys want to.

No help needed right now. But what classes are you guys taking? I've got Earth and Space and Geometry as of now, but we are halfway through the schoolyear.

I'm a freshman in my school, so I guess I'm in just the basic classes. Spanish 1, English 1, Algebra, Computer Tech, World History, Biology, etc.
I'm usually a pretty good student, I guess. Though that's only been this year. My worst class is probably my History one. I memorize it all, get good grades, but I can't for the the life of me always finish homework. And that's my downfall, I guess.

So, this year, we have some big test. If we don't have it, I'll have to do it while being in college, which means I'll have twice more work. But, it's supposed to be a checkpoint, so basically if you don't have it you don't deserve to graduate. But we're doing a couple "white" tests during the year, "repetitions" of the actual test so that we check we're already at the right level, and all. Well, anyways... It was rated on 120 points, I needed 60 points at least to get it. But I didn't. I'm the only one in my grade who didn't get it. I suck. I don't deserve anything, I should just go back to the 5th grade already. ... So, I probably won't have my computer anymore for some time, but I also won't have access to the television, video game consoles, and radio. Which means no 3DS for me ever. See you later, guys.

I'm sorry to hear that, Koopalmier.
I suggest kicking it into high gear, studying, etc. If you really need help, I'm sure you could get a tutor/see a teacher. I'm sure they do that in France.

I find Yahoo answers to be a really helpful resource.
Also, just wondering, how many people on this board are in college? (or of college age?)
I am! *raises hand*

I'm a junior in high school, and I'm participating in this program called the International Baccalaureate Program, commonly called the IB Program. Any of you guys ever heard of it?
Yeah... well, for those of you who are younger than juniors, I would definitely think twice before deciding to take it if your school offers it. It's supposed to look good to colleges and prepare you for college and stuff, but the worlkload we IB kids get is absolutely ridiculous. Every other night, I'm up super-late doing projects or other such things. I just don't feel like the program offers things that I would consider worthwhile; we're required to take this pointless class called Theory of Knowledge and we're forced to frequently write journals about community service work we do (which is a lot). Also, my math and physics grades are going waaaaay down. At least IB offers a massive 1.1 weighting on all your IB classes.
So yeah, it felt good to vent about that. If I pose any questions, it'll most likely be about either math or physics, because... well, yeah.

I've got a Major Works Data Sheet due on Wednesday for "1984", but it's a really good book, and I think that it'll be really easy.
So easy infact that I've decided I'm doing another MWDS on the Rush song "2112", just for the heck of it. That's how good a song it is lol!

I know. I never expected... uhh, the end of Part 2. And the political allegory is amazing. We're supposed to have 5 quotes for our MWDS, but I think I'm going to end up with at least 7

I volunteered myself for a project on keitai novels, and now I have a 200-page book to look through. In Japanese.

Probably not. Everyone knows about Big Brother, Thought Police, ect. It's pop culture. That's the whole reason I read the book lol.
I just finished a couple hours ago, and.... I really can't describe how I felt about the ending. Really. :/

Well, it's supposed to be a type of shock therapy to try and keep people from supporting totalitarian governments.

I remember really enjoying 1984. I'm not sure if I'd reread it though!
