Remember those stories Luigi was telling in Paper Mario 2? Well now in this Wiiware game, you get to play them! It has the same style of play as PM2, except you can now control up to 3 partners at once, and you can place your 4 characters in different combinations to affect how enemies can attack you, plus special 2+-member combos, ect. It adds a little strategy to the game, and makes it different from the regular games. Also, instead of merely running away, you have to try and talk to the enemies and trick them into letting you run with selectable dialogue options (that you have to choose really fast) that would work for that certain type of enemy. You can even run from bosses, and sometimes running is the only way to defeat certain enemies (Like Tubba Blubba level), or to solve puzzles. Instead of Star Powers or badges, Luigi can use equipable items that work for a certain amount of turns, like a fire flower, a Kuribo's Shoe, his vacuum, ect.
The game is quite short, only about 10-15 hours, but there's the epic Kart Racing chapter and after you beat it, you can actually play in the "Kart Racing League" that allows multiplayer. After you beat the game and do some crazy fetch quest, you can actually unlock a new version of the game, even shorter (Like 1 or 2 hours), but it plays out like the Super Luigi Book was written; Luigi pwns everything and can do up to 1000s of damage, by himself.

So THAT'S what your avatar is! Very nice idea, I'd buy it in a heart beat. One question: will it solve the confusion over Goomba King/Chestnut King?

So THAT'S what your avatar is! I assume this one is directed at me, and yes, my avatar is my rendition of Luigi from the Super Luigi story. On topic, though, what do you guys believe about Crêpe being the main villain? I mean, Luigi never mentions it himself, just "a bigger monster", but it's in the book. The book often lies, but so does Luigi.

The book was written by a journalist who was following Luigi (and Luigi told him what actually happened). While Luigi lies to make himself look like some epic superhero like Mario, the journalist lies to make Luigi more heroic and the story more interesting, so he has no reason to lie about Crêpe being the villain.
About the game idea... no. Not everyone has access to WiFi with their consoles (like me). WiiWare should rather have minor games like Dr. Mario.

Slightly related: i.imgur.com/v0Shq.png"My pale skin's crispified!" Very related: If this game ever comes out officially, the amount of fanart of Luigi in a dress is going to reach astronomical proportions and probably 60% of all Luigi art is going to be him in a dress.

This guy actually novelized my quest! He's been interviewing me. He was actually interviewing me here at the inn during breaks from my adventure! I didn't think anyone would be interested in reading a book about Luigi..."

Personally, I feel like I would end up both loving and hating this game if I played it.
Love: It's an adventure starring Luigi. Seriously, the idea's been stewing since the Gamecube Launch Era.
Hate: The entire first half of the story. Particularly, the debut of the first three partners: Blooey, Jerry, and Torque. I mean, party members that are only there for Schadenfruede? On one of the least deserving (in my opinion) characters in the entire series? I'm sorry, but that doesn't cut it for me.
...I am rather interested in the "Multiple-party-members-out-at-one-time" thing you have there, though. Nice touch.

You see, Bowser has been Mario's partner several times, but does he really "antagonize" him on the way, saying "Mario is a stupid voodoo head" everytime he speaks? And it's not like Mario demands much respect due to being an imposing figure; other characters who are arguably good treat Mario with far less respect than even Bowser (saying please five times? Seriously?) I think that with the proper interpretation, all of these characters can be enjoyable and their existence isn't based solely on making Luigi's life miserable. Keep in mind that when they tell you how much Luigi annoys/disturbs them, is it immediately after the actual event - of course Blooey would be angry right after being fried! But, you never have a chance to see how they cope with it further on, except for Blooey, who seems to be all right with it near the end. I bet the same goes for Jerry, and Torque, well, it would be neat to have something like an account in-game to pay off your debt, and once you do it, you can race on Circuit Break Island again.

By the time this would come out, probably 3+ years, they'd be everywhere, and you'd be able to walk into any old Wal-Mart, stick an SD card in, and download the game.

thedude3445, what is your opinion on what exactly Screamy is supposed to be, and do? Obviously Blooey is going to shoot ink, Jerry is going to explode, Torque is going to shell spin and use the wrench, Hayzee is going to sing, but what could Screamy do to attack?

If only... I wish some of the games here and on Lemmy's Drawing Board over at Lemmy's Land were real. Some of them look quite awesome.

He'd have Frozen Dairy related attacks, and for his overworld.... IDK. Either a ghost move or something awesome where he slicks out the floor in front of him.
