Not exactly the most original name out there for a forum trivia game, but I couldn't think of anything better. So yeah, this topic will be a trivia game that you all can compete in to win... absolutely nothing. Besides being fun, the practical purpose of this game is that learning the answers to Mario questions could affect the discussions here in a positive way. Anyways... signups begin now. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
RULES
1. I will submit about 10 questions that you guys have to try and answer.
2. You can only answer two of the 10 questions that I give you
3. Depending on the difficulty of the question, you can get more points.
4. I will put up a bonus question every other round that you guys can answer in addition to your two questions. Bonus questions are also difficulty based.
5. All answers must be PMed. Please put ALL of your answers for that round in ONE PM.
6. As far as questions go, anything from a Mario VIDEO GAME can be used as a question. Also, you may ask questions about Donkey Kong games, Wario Land and other Wario games, Super Princess Peach, the Yoshi's Island series, etc. Pretty much any kind of Mario spin-off is allowed. (Sports games too)
7. Other games that you are allowed to ask questions about are Super Smash Bros (series) and the FIRST Banjo Kazooie. The only reason that I'm even including Banjo Kazooie in the first place is that the Banjo series is connected to the Mario series. However, as you can see, I only am allowing you to ask questions about the FIRST game. Even then, I don't want this board clogged with B-K questions. Now some of you might say, "Then aren't questions of all Nintendo games allowed since we can ask questions about Smash Bros?" The answer is "no" because I don't want this thing to stray too far away from Mario games.
8. After 5 rounds, whoever has the most points recieves a final question that, if they get it correct, will win them the game.
9. If the final question is answered incorrectly, then the game will go on for another round.
10. If two or more people are tied for the win at the end, then they must both/all answer the final question. If both/all of them get it right, then we will play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who wins. (got any better tiebreaking ideas?)
11. If any person wins twice, they become the host. Just remember that it will still be me who updates the scores. Also, even if I am competing as a player, I'm still making sure that the host isn't posting "illegal" questions.
12. Oh... right. NO GOOGLEFUING. The whole point of this game is to know the information without a search engine. Not only that but it makes the game less fun for others if you cheat. You may play the game that the question comes from to find the answer, but I doubt you will find it.
13. However, before you physically see or hear of the questions posted, you may "study" your Mario facts on the internet if you so wish to. But once you know the questions, you can no longer search the internet for anything Mario related until you submit your answer.
