As you know, Mario is a cartoon-ish character and his age is unknown. So, how old do you think he is ? It's obvious we can't give a particular age, as we don't have enough informations for that.

I believe he is 29 years old.

Retracted my vote.
Now I think it's between 30 and 50.

So you think that he's over 40, right?

I'm not sure.
I'm just keeping my options open.

It depends on the game. During DK'94, I imagine him fresh out of college, maybe 20 or so. But now, he could be in his 40s, though I think he's 30-50 at this point.

I say he's 25.

Why do you have 30-50 in there if you also have both 30-40 and 40-50? (Also, you know what my vote was by the little equation I set up in that other topic.)

I retracted my vote for 30-50 and shifted it to 20-30. Mario himself looks like he's a mature adult, and that fits the initial idea of the character, but his age has to be reconciled with PiT; he looks about 2 years older than Peach, and I have a hard time imagining Peach in the 30-50 range. Then there's YI:DS, and reconciling YI:DS with PiT looks like fun in itself.
I don't think Mario ages over the course of the games any more than Bart Simpson does - it's a side effect of no clear timeline.

For a greater range. 20-30 = Mario is a young adult ; 30-40 = Mario is a "normal" adult ; 30-50 = Mario is anything but young ; 40-50 = Mario is middle-aged ; 50-60 = Baby DK is actually Cranky Kong

I hate to be a buzz-kill, but I honestly think that it's impossible to actually pin-point Mario's age. I know we're theorizing, but there's just nowhere near enough information for me to even make a guess.
I think Mario's age is one of those things that just isn't meant to be thought about, like most other cartoon characters.

It's not meant to be thought about, but it's interesting to see what most people think.
(oh, and NOTHING in the Mario series is meant to be thought about. Yet here we are...)

I disagree with that last statement. The Marioverse has enough story and lore for people to contemplate and take seriously. That's why we're all here. Because we realize that.

I imagine Mario to be between 35-45 years old.

KoopalmierWell, guess what? They're all wrong. Even Miyamoto (if that's what he really thinks, which I doubt). *holds up Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Dear*

He said the Marioverse was very simple and there was no continuity at all. Everything you need to know is just that Mario isn't a hero like Link, and Bowser isn't a villain like Ganondorf.
And the Mario universe, as it is shown in RPGs, is still not full or interesting enough to deserve theorists and all. Oh, and I'm pretty sure you can play the whole game without looking at the dialogues.

Story/Lore and Continuity are two very different things.
Also, I can skip all of the cutscenes in Halo, but that doesn't mean it lacks a rich plot.

Half-Life 2 contains absolutely no cutscenes... AND it has a good plot... or so I'm told.
