So the pieces of Yoshi's Island would have gone into space when the universe reset then... hm well that makes more sense then Bowser ripping it from the Earth How so. The Universe reseting would just revert everything, not make changes to it. My theory isn't that Bowser was just ripping selected parts for fun, he was pulling the Universe apart, Planet by Planet, as building blocks for his Empire. If you notice, the closer you get to the Black Hole in SMG2, the more it chaotic things are. Well, if you look at it with my Theory in mind, that is.

It's more like "recreated" than "reseted". But the explosion was still big enough to make drastical changes in the world.

I sorta like Gylls's theory, but you both make valid points. Yes. Gylls. That is what I shall call you from now on. I have been, but I'm just making it official.

Thanks MarioBro, it's kind-of cool to have a Nickname to my Username! And I agree with you, while I like my Theory better(naturally), Koopalmier makes some good points.

GYLLS OF HABISHI. A little Xiaolin Showdown to make everyone's day, although I can't remember if I spelled the name right...
On Topic: Both the theories seem pretty good, but I might have to read them again before I decide who I am siding with.

Nice, I used to watch that show ALL the time! I immediately heard Omi's voice when I read that, lol!

Don't want to stray too far off topic here, but fake Shen-Gong-Wu battles are one of the best things that you can do with a group of friends, just don't be Mala-Mala Jong or you will get banned...
ANYWAYS: the theories seem REALLY similar at first glance, but I think I'm siding a little more with Gyll on this one

Time to go agressive then. *epic battle music starts*
He didn't directly attack it. He used magic to take away the Power Stars from the Observatory, and then went in space and dispersed them.
Bowser's Galaxy Reactor doesn't have planets from other galaxies.
Except we know the "lol SMG nevah happened" thing in SMG2 was added by Nintendo of America for some reason.
Proof ?
Honestly, my "theory" is rather a constatation. I'll write it again, TIMELINE form (yay!): - The galaxies in SMG1 are already existing. They may have been drifted into space after a collision with something (similarly to how the Moon comes from the Earth itself, but on a smaller scale) but they were still there long before the game's events. - Bowser discovers there are Power Stars on the comet that goes by every century, and uses his magic to "magnet" them. However, he doesn't know he's also ruining Rosalina's live and messing up with the logic of the universe by "blocking" the Lumas. - Bowser creates UFOs, etc. and disperse the Power Stars in space, while he uses the Grand Stars as a power source for his next creation: a whole galaxy. - SMG happens. - The black hole destroys the world. The Lumas make it collapse and fall on itself, making it explode. - The explosion recreates the world, but it's so big that it mixes "light" stuff into space (such as the "galaxies" Mario went through, and moons of different planets). - Mario realizes a new galaxy was created from all the "galaxies" he went through and says "WELCOME NEW GALAXY!!!". Now, people from that galaxy can travel to the Mushroom Earth. - The Star Festival starts again because Bowser messed it up last time, and Rosalina wants to see her planet again -> Grand Finale Galaxy level. - The Festival continues -> SMG2 starts. - SMG2 happens. - Bowser's plan is foiled again (although he didn't really want anything bad this time, he only wanted to make his empire at the center of the universe. What proves he wanted to take over the universe after that ?).

Dont even start on that 'how evil is bowser' debate. Anyways, I'm still sticking to my theory. The Stone Cyclone Galaxy was once the Beach Bowl planetoid of the same (?) name.

Or World S is a galaxy that takes trials previously done by the person who enters and turns them into challenges... Either that or someone took all of these places from their original locations and put them in a museum... wait now this is starting to sound like Banjoland

Okay, Koopalmier, now it's MY turn! *Breaks Koopalmier's CD, and promptly replaces it with THIS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=apRtamRa3NI-What way he obtained the Power Stars is irrelevant in this discussion, the point is that he obtained them! -The entirety of World 6 would qualify as Bowsers Empire, and according to my Theory, the rest is on it's way there! -Nintendo of America never meant that! It is obvious that the game was intended to be a re-telling of Super Mario Galaxy's Story, but with less of a Story focus(Lubba in place of Rosalina, and a simpler Hub World being prime examples). I mean, it was originally Super Mario Galaxy 1.5! -Proof? They can't be seen during the Star Festival in the Credits of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Now, where is your proof that the Planetoids existed prior to Super Mario Galaxy? I mean, they had never been seen before then!

Wait a sec, if SMG2 is only a retelling, then how canon is it really?
Sorry Gylls, but that makes no sense.

He is saying that it was meant to be a retelling before they made it into Galaxy 2

Thank you, KingKoopa. It wasn't originally supposed to be a sequel, more of an expansion-like experiment(they just had more ideas that they didn't get to put in the first game), then they started throwing more and more stuff into it, until it became a game in it's own right.

There's a difference between him directly attacking the Obersvatory, and him just drifting the Power Stars away.
Wait, Throwback Galaxy would be part of Bowser's empire... ?
Nope. It started as SMG1,5, then it became a different project called SMG2.
They all mixed into one big galaxy at the end of SMG1. You can see it from the Sky Station Galaxy.
Nothing counterdicts it.
And how can SMG2 be a retelling of SMG1 with all the SMG1 references there are ? I mean, you can see the galaxy from the ending of SMG1 from the Sky Station Galaxy, planets from SMG1 appear again at different locations and there's a big mess-up with Yoster Island being in space and there being multiple moons around the ME, all this referring to how the universe was mixed-destroyed-recreated at the end of SMG1.

My theory is that Bowser's Galaxy Generator is Bowser's own Starship Mario, and is basically his entire empire at that point of the game. His own Starship can't move as fast as Mario's, and practically everything notable aboard Bowser's Galaxy Generator is deep inside of the galaxy.

Yes, that is important, just not in this discussion. Yes. That is EXACTLY what I said I know, but I said that they don't appear in the night sky at the end of Galaxy 2... Which they don't! Uhhh... I think you misunderstood me. Maybe you should have read my more recent post in this topic... I said that it wasn't originally intended to be a sequel, but evolved into that prior to it's announcement at E3'09.
