Here, now we can discuss the future of Mariology. Well, assuming we choose to keep it's name that, anyway. Should we change the Forum Name? Should we change the Forum Direction? Expand it? Promote advertisement? Or try to keep it as secret as possible? Well, my friends, that is up to YOU to decide.

I'd like it to stay Mario-based. It's great to discuss games like Kirby or Zelda, but this isn't the place for it.
We should keep the name the same as well. Mariology's both a good name, and it's hilarious to imagine someone coming to this board to discuss Catholicism.
As for advertisements, both Mario Wik and Waluigious have linked to us. I think that should be enough.

As I have said numerous times, I'd like it to remain Mariology (since the only rename I'd accept would be Club Waluigious, and no one likes that) and be about Mario only.
I also wish that we remade the visual aspect a bit. It's a bit bland, don't you think? I could make a new banner. And the "new topics" button at the top could use a custom style to fit the other ones.

Artemendo & MarioBro364 ..Cough..."Or a Rainbow Star"...Cough... Oh, sorry, got a cold. Seriously, though, I'm all for a name change, but honestly don't have any ideas. I would like for this forum to remain Mario-centric, but Smash Bros. discussion is acceptable, and, if necessary, discussing other series to make a point. But let's not make a habit out of it, because "New" members could get the wrong impression of the Forum. I say a new banner, and name are good, as well as the sites revision(that Toomai is currently working on), but more advertising is a must. I'd like to make a thread on GoNintendo linking to the site, but not without the forum's permission. And if I get approved, maybe we can get more members(yay!).

Yes, I think we need quality members more than just "any" members. And yes, "Club Waluigious" was a joke... for now. If this forum ever breaks, we can migrate to something I host, OK? And that will be it.

I like the name "Mariology". Despite the name conflict with a branch of Catholic theology, it really does describe the purpose of the board.

I had finalized all the images before the New Topics button existed, so yes I will make one to match. Then I'll copy the images over to the other skins (there's no fast way to do it, so it's terribly slow). |
