Okay, less a game idea than a world idea, but I was wondering if I could post this here. Basically, this is what I thought World S in Super Mario Galaxy 2 should have been: dsultimate.net/TheBestEverSpecialWorldMarioGalaxy2TLDR: Boss Blitz (second Kamella, Kingfin, Bouldergeist, Cake Lane Undergrunt Gunner, Megaleg, Fiery Dino Piranha, Daredevil mission) Mario Squared Galaxy (Luigi side only) Storm Drain Galaxy (poison canal from Sunshine, maybe even the boat sequence beforehand) Goopy Inferno Galaxy (mission 3 of Pianta Village from Sunshine as a level) Rolling Coaster Galaxy Stone Cyclone Galaxy Boss Hell Galaxy (Big Bob-omb, Sunshine King Boo, Phantamanta, Bogmire, Chief Chilly, Rainbow Bowser) Frozen Mountain Galaxy (Cool Cool Mountain with ice slide) Mansion Glide Galaxy (fly through Luigi's Mansion with Fluzzard) Colossal Cannons Galaxy (Dreadnought Purple Coins as level) Grandmaster Galaxy Good idea to make it really hard and awesome, or whatever?

Replace Grandmaster Galaxy with this. Otherwise, it's a very good idea. World S was quite boring.

Definitely. That video was freaking awesome, so that plus what I said is the best world S ever.

Was I the only person on the planet who actually found Grandmaster Galaxy hard? Or I guess I just can't be good at games I don't enjoy...

No you weren't the only person, but I think World S being even harder would be even better. I found the old Grandmaster Galaxy hard, and I'll probably find the edited one harder, but if you want difficulty, go all out!

Was I the only person on the planet who actually found Grandmaster Galaxy hard? Or I guess I just can't be good at games I don't enjoy... Go on GameFAQs. Everyone complains (or complained at least) that The Perfect Run took them 20, 30, 40, even 75 tries. It personally took me 6 tries between lunch and going back to school, while I was very tired so 4 of those deaths were for awfully stupid reasons (like ground pounding instead of back flipping). And I still suck at video games (I can't finish Super Mario Bros., the only games I finished without a walkthrough were SMG and SMG2). So... yeah, the Grandmaster Galaxy was as easy as it was hard. But a harder version would still be better.

I can't get it how someone could finish The Perfect Run so easily, but still not being able to beat SMB. Maybe you don't know about the two hidden mushrooms in 8-3? It's because of not knowing that that most people never get to 8-4.

The controls bother me because they respond a mid-second later, and I can't get used to them. As for the SNES version, I play on snes9x so the controls feel heavy and are basically bad. That's also why I can't get farther than 1-2 in SMB:TLL. I tried other emulators but none have good controls and stereo sound at the same time...
... or The Perfect Run is simply easy. But not as easy as SMG. SMG was so easy I got bored and had to force myself to finish it.

...You wanna up the difficulty for Mario Squared Galaxy... With Thwomps and Toyboxes... That cause mini-earthquakes...
...I hate you... I really do... (j/k, but I still think you're insane)

Yes, I thought the Grandmaster Galaxy was very difficult too. But one thing it could've done without was Mario Squared Galaxy. Star Spirits above, that was a bad idea in SMG, and became even worse in SMG2.

The worse thing about Mario Squared was it wasn't really a galaxy, more like a single planet with a gimmick that wasn't particularly fun the first time around.

World S in SMG2 was more of a throwback to previous Mario games than it was an actual straight-up challenge.

Yeah Grandmaster was the only challenge in World S. (Although Stone Cyclone did take me like 40 tries, I can finish it easily now.) I liked the Rainbow Road level and the wall jump one where every spin opens up new walls

Honestly, I am rather disappointed with the official World S. I like Grandmaster, but most of the other galaxies are too "rehashed". I really like Cheat-Master's version, but I would like less levels from older Mario games and more newer level designs.
Will the Boss Hell galaxy get a daredevil run?
