Well I don't see why it couldn't be in the Mushroom World, but if it is on Earth that that proves that my Mario was on Earth at one point theory is true

If it was on Earth that would support you're Theory, but I think it happened in the Mushroom World but not in tMK! Maybe Jewelry Land?

Nice theory, but it can't just be it's OWN Province, maybe Sarasa Land? But I still think Jewelry Land is feasible. Also it should be noted that Diamond City is on an Island, but it should still belong to a Nation!

Jewelry Land makes sense since diamonds are a jewel, but considering that we don't even know if that Mario Super Scope game is even canon or if Nintendo will ever show Jewelry Land again, I'm going to guess that it is off the coast of some large metropolis

I always assumed that Diamond City was ona previously unseen part of Kitchen Island. theres's mah two cents.

Kitchen Island is simply an island that was colonized by pirates. Diamond City is either part of a continent, either an island by itself.
