Is Luigi really heterosexual, as we all believe it ?
I was playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, when I thought about something. Don't you think Luigi's relations with Peasley are a bit... strange ? I mean, Peasley is the only character in the game to actually care about him, congrat him when he does something epic and he keeps teasing him. Luigi also blushes many times in Peasley's presence. It should also be noted Peasley appears as a courageous and beautiful hero.
Is it only a sign of strong friendship ? Or is it... a bit more than that ? For now, Luigi hasn't been shown acting like that with anyone else. It should also be noted that, during the ending, Luigi cried when Peasley gave them the "gift". Sure, Luigi cries about a lot of things, but he didn't cried in M&L2 when he had to say bye to the babies and Young Toadsworth, although it was more serious as they actually did the whole adventure together and won't ever meet again for sure (for more discussion about this, check the "Babies" topic).
What about Daisy then ? Well, first, the fact the sports spin-offes are canon is debatable. Daisy never ever gets a mention in other games than spin-offes after her original appearance, and Luigi is never seen hanging around with her (unlike Mario and Peach), while he gets much more interaction with Peasley.
Additionally, I saw many "LuigiXPeasley" fanclubs.
So, what's your thought ? Is Luigi homosexual and Nintendo is teasing us with the LuigiXDaisy "proofes" (like a statue of both dancing in Mario Kart Wii) ? Is his sports counterpart heterosexual while the Luigi we know is homosexual ? Maybe that Daisy's love for Luigi doesn't work in the other way ? Or Luigi is bisexual ?
I personally never thought about this but now that I do, I think Luigi is either bi or homo. After all he does love to cook and do the housework, and is easily emotionally shocked, yet he falled in love with Princess Eclair, (arguably) Daisy and (arguably) Peasley. Although the Eclair case may just be a fantasm or a parody of how, in the end, the hero and the lady always fall in love. Also, Luigi's always been the exact opposite of Mario, but Mario is a not-too-virile man, so would that make Luigi a not-too-girly girl... ?
