I've always considered myself one of the biggest Mario fans in the universe, and my friends can vouch for that. But what really makes the biggest fan? There's the fan that buys merchandise and doesn't know much about the games but still plays them, the fan like me that knows pretty much everything to a game but isn't much of a gamer anymore, the fanboy that will never admit any Mario game sucked at all, and the various obsessors that are a combination of these.
So what really makes the biggest fan?
Knowing everything, loving everything, or loving the series so much that you dedicate yourself to knowing everything you can about it?

Well, I think the following are categories of "fanniness":
1. Knowledge (such as having memorized the location of every coin in the game, or being able to go back to Mario Party 1 and play without the instructions) 2. Gaming (such as getting 100%s, or just owing others at multiplayer) 3. Game Collecting (such as owning a VB or one of those edutainment things) 4. Mechandise Collecting (such as figurines or T-shirts) 5. Expanding (such as fan art, fan fiction, emulation, theorizing, etc) 6. Obsessing (such as refusing to admit failures, blabbing on to friends who don't care, not getting enough sleep because of any of the above)
Therefore, I am like this for the Mario series:
1. 85% 2. 95% 3. 55% 4. 0% 5. 100% 6. 75%

1. 85% 2. 65% 3. 45% 4. 25% 5. 25% 6. 25%
Knowledge is my main objective; after that is gaming. I'd like to own and complete every Mario title, but I doubt that will ever happen. However, I can have a rough knowledge of every title.
