You do, however, see Big Ape City, Mario and Yoshi, and DK's jungle in the Mario Party series, among other things. I'd say that they'd be more connected than that. I mean, I don't see any ? blocks or warp pipes in Wario: Master of Disguise either, and that's clearly in the same universe.

There might be ? blocks and Warp pipes somewhere around there that the game does not show, but either way the DK, Mario, and Wario worlds are definately linked
