From what I read, Metroid: Other M (which does really have a bad name), according to one of the game's makers, ISN'T what Metroid Dread was, and the fact he said it that way makes it sound like Nintendo may still be creating Metroid Dread.
I'd really like Metroid Dread to come out, because Other M is a sequel to Metroid II (or a prequel to Super Metroid), and most people really want Metroid V!

No, Another M is a sequel to Super Metroid but before Fusion. It's probably going to explain about the origins of Adam and such. It never really explains when Samus met him in Fusion, and he's not in any of the other games.

Yeah, I misread. I only played through a bit of MF, does ADAM die?

Adam is mentioned in Metroid Fusion through Samus's dialouge. What happened to him is a major plot point so I won't ruin it for you. Unless you want me to, in which case, highlight this: His brain is preserved as the computer that guides you throughout most of the game.

Shadowgoomba, I know ADAM is the robot computer, like TEC in Paper Mario 2, but robots can die too

They don't die they just either explode or get disconnected

Shadowgoomba, I know ADAM is the robot computer, like TEC in Paper Mario 2, but robots can die too But the point is he wasn't always a computer. I'm assuming Another M will tell his story as a human. It's one of the few things between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion that didn't have much of an explanation.

A story about a smart human character LAMO lets hope it has a better story than that

What's wrong with that?

That sounds like Metal Gear Solid except you play as Otacon

I haven't played it, so I'm not sure what you mean by that, but "a smart human character" tells you absolutely nothing. I guess Hamlet has a terrible story just because it stars a smart human character. I think this has a lot of potential, to show what Adam passed onto Samus and how he died, how he was rebuilt, who did it, et cetera. I don't see why you're complaining.

It doesn't seem to have a lot of action if it is focused on a smart character and btw I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I won't be here for another 5 days or more (not like this place is active enough anyway)

Why wouldn't it? He's not the stereotypical nerd behind the shadows. He's a military professional whose job is to train Samus. And if he died, most likely it was in a battle. There would be plenty of action.

Oh I thought he was some nerd who created samus's missile launcher and never did anything else or something like that

The Chozo gave Samus her suit when she was a young child. It's custom-made only for her, which is why the Galactic Federation relies on her fighting and exploration abilities so much.

If the chozo suit was given to her when she was young either she didn't fit in the suit or it grows when she grows
