Only by about 2 years. You don't know of how I am able to get people to come back to forums. I spent about 4 hours one day on Nintendo City emailing most every (minus the no-posters) unactive member to come back, and I got around 4 to come back and stay active. That was actually quite good in the long run. Yeah, and how many people did you send e-mails to? 20? (estimation based on "4 hours") I don't see how e-mailing people and reminding about a site will do any good. Main reason: If you sign up for a forum, you'll probably stick it in your list of Favourites. Even more so once you start posting stuff. Now, I'm no expert on how people think, but I would expect that, if something's in your Favourites, you likely check in regularily (whether you post or not). Even if you haven't been somewhere in a while, you may see it in the list and think "meh, I'm bored, might as well check this place again". Or, "I'll probably never come here again, pressing delete." So: If someone stops going somewhere, it's most likely because they lost interest in it. Trying to "spark" them into coming back probably won't work. Of course, it doesn't help that Nintendo ain't doin' squat right now. (Yeah, they're doing Wiimakes and developing three games, but big whoop. We need announcements.)

New games? A new console? Forgotten franchises returning? Old favorites getting new installments? What more do you expect them to do?

Actually use their returning franchises like Star Fox and F-Zero, thank you ver much D< (Unless F-Zero Climax for the GBA really was the last game and the anime wasn't an OVA)
btw, I actually emailed about 50 people. It was quite the dissapointment at first until I saw how those members actually became active again. Hey, don't forget about laziness. I used to go to a forum called Mario Party Forum (made by the former owner of Nintendo City, Joey) all the time until I forgot about it for a while and just never bothered to check again. I never removed it from my favorites. Same with this place and Nintendo City from about August to December.

Fans are so picky...Sin & Punishment 2, Punch-out, Mario & Luigi 3, the newest Game & Watch Collection even with a new game, the first Wario Land game in 7 years, new Mario titles, new Zelda titles, a new Smash Bros., all while developing a whole new console...Jesus Christ man.

G&W Collection 1 & 2 are just ports, for real. And they've been out for Club Nintendo in Japan for years, too! We loved SSBB, Galaxy, TP, and MKWii, but it seems like they're not using any of their big franchises, only the small ones like Punch-Out!!. They need to make those franchises if they want to not be considered the "casual console" after this generation.
Oh, and yes, Jesus Christ is a person.

Punch-out!! is still one of the greatest franchises in gaming history. I don't like it when people order the same titles over and over again. Broaden your horizon! There's tons of great games out there. I applaud Nintendo for trying to give us a great diversity of games to play. Why don't people realize that this is EXACTLY like the NES, which is never considered a "casual" console? Nintendo only had 3 main Mario games on there, one Metroid game, a Kid Icarus, two drastically different Zelda titles, etc. I'd much rather have Mario platformers, Super Mario Bros. 2, 3-d Mario platformers, the Mario RPG's, Mario Party, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Mario Paint, Mario Golf, Mario Hoops, Mario Strikers, Mario Baseball, Dr. Mario, Yoshi's Island, Zelda, Zelda 2, the 3-D Zeldas, Tingle, Punch-out!!, Pokemon, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Metroid, Metroid Prime, Wario Land, Wario World, Wario Ware, Star Fox, Star Fox Adventures, F-Zero, Game & Watch, Kirby, Brain Age, the Wii series, Animal Crossing, Densetsu no Stafy, Fire Emblem, the light gun games, Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, Big Brain Academy, Pikmin, Advance Wars, Earthbound, Gyromite, Stack-up, Super Smash Bros., Sin & Punisment, Famicom Detective Club, the text adventure series, Golden Sun, Mole Mania, Nazo no Murasmejou, Tetris, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, Kirby Air Ride, Banjo-Kazooie, the two Conker games, Killer Instinct, Sutte Hakkun, Joy Mech Fight, Custom Robo, Mario Pinball Land, Kirby's Avalanche, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Pinball Land, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Star Stacker, Kirby Canvas Curse, Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Trozei!, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Drill Dozer, Chibi-Robo!, Hey You! Pikachu, Pokemon Channel, Game Boy Camera, Captain Rainbow, GiFTPiA, Doshin the Giant, Pinball, all of the sports series games, Devil World, Mach Rider, Excitebike, Popeye, Mickey Speedway USA, Goldeneye 007, Pilotwings, Tin Star, Magical Starsign, Panel de Pon (and other versions of it with different characters), Geist, Eternal Darkness, StarTropics, Dragon Warrior, Rad Racer, and any other franchises I forgot than thousands of any one of those in particular. And no, Game & Watch Collection 2 is new in Japan as well, and it includes a game that's not a port. Besides, port or not, that doesn't change how awesome they are.

Why don't people realize that this is EXACTLY like the NES, which is never considered a "casual" console? The problem is that the times have changed. Back in the 80's, gamers didn't expect to be told of a game's existance in advance (except for maybe a few weeks before it's released), so they would just keep playing what they had happily. But nowadays, everyone (myself included, which bugs me a little) expects Nintendo (and other companies) to talk about the games they're making to up the "hype".

But they shouldn't do it too much (Brawl) or fans will hype to much.
And shadowgoomba, most of those games were from the original NES/GB or at least SNES, and are considered some of the titles most wanted for the Wii or DS (Startropics)! It doesn't matter to me how many games they release from Mario or Zelda. From a business standpoint, it's really risky to only use a few franshises over and over instead of actually using all of the resources that are available. There are really good examples of this, AKA Gamecube, Sega 2003+, and PS3.
G&WC2 isn't out in America yet though. ......Is it?

Right, so why is it that when they start reviving old franchises such as Punch-out!! people complain that it's a minor franchise? It makes no sense. Nintendo's giving the fans exactly what they asked for, and they still whine. This saddens me. And no...not yet.

It works either way with G&WC2, because we still haven't gotten it yet. I'm not whining because I want the games. Honestly, I'd proabably not get SFWii or F-Zero Wii if they came out for at least a year. And I do really want Punch-Out!!!. Unbusiness-wise, wha tI'm whining for is Mach Rider 2 and Joy Mech Fight 2, but I'm probably not going to get that wish
