In some new Mario spin-off games you see Mario and co. interacting with Wii remotes do you think that is just advertizing or do Wii remotes exist in ME

It's most definitely advertising. Even the form wand or whatever it's called in Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (haven't played it as of yet) even though it is very important to the "plot" or so I've heard. The real one was probably not shaped like a Wiimote.

It is called the Form Baton and there is apparently only one on the ME and that is in the Temple of Form
