This guy is like some sort of mutated piranha plant according to Mario Superstar Baseball. Maybe he used to be a Giant Piranha Plant until the Shroobs found him (that is a known theory on Super Mario Wiki) but maybe he was mutated by all of that wierd goop from Super Mario Sunshine
