E3 is underway and Nintendo's jumped the gun on announcements. While their press conference is 9:00am Pacific Time, they've already announced that they'll be making a Wiimote addon, "Wii MotionPlus", that improves the device's accuracy. A decent picture eludes me at the moment...

My internet was acting up at the time...
Anyway, that was a distinctly underwhelming press conference. They only announced like 3 games, none of which are really what Nintendo fans were hoping for. Although the new Animal Crossing does come with voice chat.
If this is all Nintendo's revealing this week there will be a backlash.

I seriously doubt it is, given how secretive Nintendo's been lately. Also, according to IGN, there's a new Punch-out!! game coming out.

Also, Just hours after their confrence, Miyamoto revealed Pikmin 3, A sequel to Waverace Blue Storm, new Mario and Zelda Titles, and Kid Icarus Wii if I remember. The confrence was lame, but I can't wait until 2009 now!

Everyone says they were disappointed, but I really don't blame Nintendo. After a year and a half of putting out some really epic games, it seems obvious that they would have to start from scratch to produce some more. It take more then a year to make a really good game.

E3's such a big event now that of course they have to cater to the biggest audience, the casual one. The press eats that stuff up. The major fan titles will come in something more "hardcore," such as Nintendo's fall conference.
