Earlier today I was thinking about this: A lot of koopa characters seem like they never seem to age even after years of appearing in games. -- For instance, Bowser Jr. and the koopalings have been around for quite a while now, but never seems to look any older. Ok, so you might say "Well the developers don't want to have to change the character design every few years." But here's another example: Kamek who was obviously an adult when Bowser was born, looks nearly identical in the newer games, He doesn't look or act old at all.
This must be a caused buy the fact that they're related to turtles/tortoises, who are some of the longest live animals on earth.
So how long do you think a koopa can live?

The Kamek thing is actually because in Japan, he isn't even recognized as a character. He's just a Magikoopa. Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings is pretty simple. We just have to assume that the games took place chronologically close to each other, despite the gap between release dates. However, this requires some leeway, which is where your theory of longer ages comes into play. I say a Bowser-like Koopa can live anywhere from 100 to 150 years. Koopa Troopas probably live shorter lives than humans, but not by a whole lot.

Well, the games could only take place about a few motnhs after each other, meaning the Koopalings would only be a few years older, and Jr. Maybe be a year at most older.

I think Kamek is like Toad and Yoshi, both a character and a species. Kamek in japan, is THE Kamek, like Yoshi is THE Yoshi, and so on. So he's the same guy, but yeah, they are probably long lived.
Also, it doesn't matter if a game comes out 5 years after the last one, it could still happen a day later chronically. This should be used to explain all age problems. When cornered though, use the time tested; "Mushrooms are healthy" argument.

I think Kamek could have been a teenager in YI, or maybe even younger. There wasn't really anything that hinted at his age in the game, except that he kept calling the Yoshis "dear" like an old granny or something, and that he was apparently skilled at magic even though beside fly on a broom and cast the standard magikoopa spell, all he did was throw magic powder around. :/

Its like that in most games and even shows like the Simpsons and the James Bond films. I'm not sure what the term is when every character never ages.
I'd say around 120 years.

120 years? I think they last a lot longer than that because 120 is the amount of time some people live to

120 years for a human is extremely rare. 120 years for a Koopa could be average.

I'd say 170 years is average for a koopa

Bowser could be middle aged and you do see his ancestors running around (remember his mother)

I wouldn't take an episode of the show as canon, but I can agree that koopas live a while.
