If you see the theme of topics I've been making, you can make an assumption. =P
How do certain Mushrooms work?
The reverse mushroom obviously makes your brain do the opposite of what you're trying to do, but one Mario Party, if you reach a fork in the path you're travelling backwards on, you can go forwards on the opposite path.
Plus, it shrinks/enlarges peeps on battle mode of SMB3.
Golden Mushrooms make you go much faster for a short period of time.
Life Shrooms.... How do they work? They revive a dead player, without even eating it! And I'm pretty sure the Life Shroom in Galaxy isn't named the same thing on purpose, they're totally different in design and effect.
I think they may eat them beforehand, but Nintendo doesn't want them to lose a spot in the inventory. Volt Shrooms have some electric shock naturally built up from where they're grown, and it's released when hit.
Poison Mushrooms shrink you.....but how?
I'll go with PDoogan's theory and just say it's a metaphor for the character being weaker.Dried Shrooms are what they're called. I guess some sort of juice in the mushrroms is what powers Mairo and Luigi up. (Excpects mushroom drug joke =P)
It says on Mario Wiki that Weird Shrooms recover 60HP but there was only one in existence? A type of Ultra Shroom perhaps?
That was in Super Mario RPG and was used by an enemy only once. SMRPG uses a different Hit Point system than the Paper Marios. It's only average strength. And those Super Mega/Mini mushrooms, we know they just give you and extra dice blcok, but what do they actually do to the user?
They give you the energy to keep going.Blue Mushrooms let you steal items from racers in MKArcade. What does it ACTUALLY do?
Possessed Mushroom, maybe?Sluggish Shrooms make dice blocks go slower in Mario Party. once again, how is it used in the actual ME?
This one I'll have to call non-canon.
