Do we consider instruction manuals and strategy guides cannon?
Because Mario is referenced as being from Brooklyn in the instructions for super Mario 64.
And if strategy guides are cannon, then chain chomps and amps are related.

Unless they contradict something more official (i.e. the games themselves), I don't see any reason not to.

I think Rex meant the Strategy Guide.

Instructions and strategy guides should be canon. But they have a medium canonocity level, i.e. the games themselves can override them.

Can you also find the part about the amps? I remember posting something about them maybe being related in another topic but I don't rember reading about it in a stratigy guide. Atualy I only have one stratigy guide and its for YS. And Amps don't apear in that game.

Well it was in a NSMB guide. Inside, amps and chomps were classified as the same enemy type. I know it's pretty vague but I wanted to see if it would count as cannon.

It's easy to classify Amps and Chomps together: invincible metal sphere enemies. I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Yeah, like we could classify dogs, cats, and parakeets in a "household pets" section, but that doesn't mean they're related.

All right, I just wanted to see if it counted.

Why wouldn't instruction guides count as canon, I mean the whole point of the begining of them is to explain what is going on
