Luigi's mansion came out years ago, but in the bowser's castles topic, many pages were spent talking about luigi's mansions continuity errors. We shall now begin talking about them.

Here's a recap: Part One- E. Gadd -Having time to make FLUDD after directly moving from Thwomp research to Boo research - Ability to contact Luigi by using the phone in the mansion - Owning two businesses with limited time or labor resources - Monetary issues, pretty much solved. Part Two- King Boo -Appearing in SMS and later games after being trapped in a painting -Possibility of connection with one-night issues Part Three- Bowser - Being told to have been beaten by Madame Clairvoya, yet appearing in later games - We know M&L: SS happens cronologically after LM, because E. Gadd knows Mario. Not only does Bowser appear, but so do his kids, having changed very little despite the ten-year gap. Also Melody Pianissimo can play a tune from Super Mario Bros. 3, when Bowser's kids first appeared, signalling SMB3 happened first. Bowser still apparantely uses his kids, much after his supposed defeat, cramming things very tight and also inerfering with the years needed to set up a successful business.

If it helps, the Official Player's Guide for Super Mario Sunshine says that Elvin Gadd did indeed make FLUDD. It also refers to Luigi's Mansion as happening in the past.

I mean if hes been there since he was tweenty or for tweenty years, I'm sure he had oodles of time to make that. -That phone thing just dosn't make any since at all........ -We know that Gadd has at least one employee. So he probably has others too. And what could have been taking up all his time? I don't rember him ever saying anything about being verry buissy. -

He wouldn't have lots of time if he was busy catching ghosts; if anything, he would be looking for more ghosts and his gallery would never be complete. Like I said earlier, E. Gadd moves from one thing to the next rather quickly. We don't see him continuing Thwomp research in Luigi's Mansion, and he doesn't show interest in ghosts in the present part of Partners in Time. He wouldn't just take a break to make FLUDD if it didn't have a connection to ghost hunting. Also, the Player's Guide says that E. Gadd did make FLUDD, and there is a picture of him next to it. It's the most official source we have. He has limited time because it takes years to set up a business, regardless of how rich you are. He couldn't have just bought the business, either, as they have no drinks on their menu. Also, we've only seen one of E. Gadd's employees, and the Starbean's Cafe` guy doesn't seem that hard-working. (Not to mention he's Beanish)

I'm preatty sure he wouldn't be out catching ghost 24-7, he's too old to do that sort of thing every day. And if Luigi could catch all those ghosts in 1 night or however manny nights it was then Gadd should at least be able to catch them in almost the same time and have plenty of time left for making fludd. It dosn't take years to set up a buisness. Even if it di, he could have alredy had that buiusness by that time or he could have inherited it.

E. gadd has to find the ghosts before he can catch them. They wern't all in the same place, so it probobly took years to collect them all.

Besides, we discussed this, E. Gadd said, "This is gonna mess with your head: all of your effort took only one night!" clearly shoowing surprise, meaning it would appear that Luigi took several nights finding the ghosts, which leads me to believe that the Boos made a set-up for Luigi.

But it is possible that alot of the ghost were nearby somewhere in the boo woods or a sourounding area. Most of the ghost even seem to be related or connected somehow. I'm sure it's not a coincidence, some of them probably lived in a real mansion together while they were still alive and probably haunted one before Gadd came along and sucked them up. And we know that, through some sort of magical force, the whole game was condensed into one night somehow. But how long would it have seemed to the charachters in the game? aparantly E-Gadd was not outside the fozzen time zone, I assum that to the charachters in the game the whole thing took as long as it takes to play through the game.

Yeah, the fact that E. Gadd said what he did would have been a bigger shock if the game was longer, which was its biggest flaw anyway. So I would assume that there is something more: for example, it never shows Luigi and E. Gadd relaxing in the lab between areas, which took up time. Also, Luigi probably spent more time in the Gallery and Training Room than most players. To E. Gadd and Luigi, I'm guessing about a week of time that it appears to be. The ghosts also aren't near the woods, as you said, E. Gadd captured them in his travels, most likely all over Mushroom Earth.

If it was wintertime, when the nights are longer than the days, then it would be more plausible.

But still, E. Gadd was surprised, meaning he didn't expect it to be only one night.

It could be that since luigi was a newbie at ghost hunting, E. gadd didn't expect him to catch them all so quickly.

Yeah, especially since Luigi is a coward.

No, not really, because he said to Luigi "This is gonna mess with your head," so, that shows surprise in not only himself, but also suspected confusion for Luigi.
