I don't know if I put this is in the right place but I have always wondered about who or what Miss Tickle is? You hear the name at the start of every SM64 level but no mention of what or who she/it is.

"Miss Tickle"?
(lots of thought)
Are you, perhaps, referring to Mario saying "Let's-a go" when you confirm which Star you're seeking?

...I won't believe you unless you provide a sound file or video or something.

I've never heard that either. You sure the game isn't bootleg? Or possibly when Mario is spinning down from the sky? Or some kind of glitch maybe? I don't know.

Clive's from the UK, so it may be something with the British version of the game.

I don't see why they would change the game if they speak the same language though.

Maybe miss tickle is some kind of stretched out version of mystical.
Example: Myss-tical

The best I can come up with is Toomai's theory of Mario sayong "let's-a go". I'll have to download the European version of the ROM and listen to it.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=n10fQJHmSk8At 44 seconds just as Mario enters a painting, you get a short melody and a voice clearly saying "Miss Tickle" or something similar. I can't believe none of you know what I'm talking about.

It says "Lets-a go!" But after I hear it, I can see where you're coming from. Try listening more closely.

I have listened to it several times and I can't make it out at all as "lets-a-go". It still sounds like "Miss Tickle" no matter how close I listen.

Well, every source on the internet says it's "lets-a go". This is the first time I've heard "Miss Tickle". I can't even hear any M or K sounds, and I definitely hear an O sound at the end.

Every source says that? I am shocked, really I am. I have always thought and still believe what I hear is "Miss Tickle". Thats exactly how it sounds to me.

I'm not an expert on foreign dialects, but you sure its not you know, a dialect? Because it's intended to say "let's-a go".

It could be the combined effect of a fake Italian accent with a British ear.
