Babies arn't delivered by stork, so why was the stork delivering the bros. in the first place?

My idea is that the Mario Bros. were kept in hospital for a few days while the parents went back home. Once they were ready to go home, one of the hospital workers (who happened to be a stork) tried delivering them.

Aaugh! Ok, we know babies aren't really delivered by storks. But don't you relize that the entire Yoshi's Island story would be impossible if they hadn't been delivered by stork? ----------- @ Toomai: That could work, but I recall the ending cut scene saying "Thanks Yoshi! The brothers will meet their parents soon." giving me the impression they don't know eachother yet.

I'm sure that's a minor enough detail to be overlooked.

But dosn't it have a lot to do with when Mario and Luigi 1st came to TMK also? And where their hats came from?

I like Toomai's theory.
The stork service was probably just a whimsical way of delivering a couple's baby to them if they left it in the hospital's care for a while.

The Stork was an actual service and somehow became known in earth, where it was incorporated into children stories.

The stork dilivers the mario bros. because nintendo was trying to keep the game PG rated.

This is my theory: Yoshi's Island never happened. I never have included that stork in my theories. Mario and Luigi were born in Brooklyn and never found the Mushroom Kingdom until they were about 35 years old.

I can say only one thing to that...
BAH!!! HUMBUG!!!
But seriously, there are multiple points of referance that YI did indead happen.

Maybe some parts of it happened, like Kamek predicting the Mario Brothers' arrival and a few other things but IMO, the stork thing seems so unrealistic and I have therefore not included it at all in my theories.

So um... When did the Mario Bros first come to the. Hmm. I think I figured something out. Alot of this mess, (not all but alot) could be solved if Broklin was.....OMG. This is giving me a headach. Let's all think up a timelime of where the brothers were from birth all the way to when they were 35. That might clear things up if we make a good solid timeline. Or it might make more questions...:/

Mario and Luigi were born in Brooklyn and never found the Mushroom Kingdom until they were about 35 years old. You can still have the whole YI thing and the brooklyn thing happen. Look for one of YM's theroies.

My theory:
Well, we know babies aren't delivered by stork. Instead, they are born in a hospital. Mario and Luigi's parents look on as a Bespectacled Koopa Nurse Holds their Babies. "s"he looks like "s"he is about to hand them over when "s"he removes "her" uniform and mask, revealing "her"self to be Kamek. He then grabs his broomstick and flies off, intent on delivering the babies to his Young Prince's Castle. On the way, a Stork is flying home when it spots the babies crying, and attacks Kamek, stealing the babies off him. The stork then flies the way Kamek was coming from, and the normal Yoshi's Island story continues from here.

That kinda makes sense.

Jellyfloater: That doesn't seem likely, the stork probably couldn't have fought Kamek, avoided all of his attacks, and then caught the babies without killing them. Plus the babies had to be at least a month old, y'know, Winged? btw, what about Yoshi Mastar's theory of Kamek crashing onto the screen? =P
