He could be one of those Big Boos. Not Boolossus-big, but like the ones in SM64/DS. He does have a similar size.

I think Luigi's Mansion is Boo's revenge for what Mario did to him on Super Mario 64...

I thought he was taking revenge for all the time Mario fought boos (and won) I always liked the character design from LM the best. His glowing eyes and blue tongue made him look more evil then the average boo.

I'm talking about the big bad evil boss villain from SM64 and SM64DS... He exactly looked like LM's King Boo without the crown, and has it's personality, too.
