I've often wondered why we don't have a thread for this topic...
The original 7 koopalings were given rather vague personalities and no age order. (Except Ludwig and Larry) Any ideas on either?
I always thought it went a little something like this: (I'm going from youngest to oldest) NOTE: I consider Iggy and Lemmy twins. I do NOT think Bowser Jr. is one of the koopalings.
Larry- Nasty, ill-tempered, sleazy, brat
Lemmy- Goofy, rather stupid, prankster, easy to take advantage of
Iggy- Insane, weird, kinda nerdy, mad scientist
Wendy- Bratty, self centered,
Morton- Mean, a little dim-witted, but not as much a Lemmy, grouchy, talks too much
Roy- Typical bully, aggressive, always trying to be cool
Ludwig- The most dangerous and evil of the 7, smart, intellectual, violent

Their personalitys where most notable in the cartoons.
They must be older teens by now.

We'll see in NewSMB.

I guess we could say that Koopas take a longer time to show physcial signs of aging if the Koopalings look in NSMB just as they looked in SMW.
Anyway, I like your profiles, Pdoogan. That's pretty much the way I'd always thought of them.
Wait a second, we've already seen the Koopalings recently: in M&LSS. So I guess it's a fact Koopas take a longer time to show age.

Nope, sorry. I heard Bowser Jr. will be in nSMB, not, the koopalings. I don't see why you have to fight the same guy 7 times when you could have fought 7 DIFFERENT characters instead...

This is a quote from Nintendo Power: Bowser's enlisted Bowser Jr. to help him in his latest scheme, and the kid Koopa acts as a miniboss in each world--

Wikipedia says that even if Jr. is a miniboss, then the Koopalings are the bosses:

Quoting Nintendo Power again:
A multitude of bosses stand in Mario's way, as well... Even bigger baddies await at each world's end, including a giant Goomba, a zombified sandworm, an enormous flying Piranha Plant, and more.

Bowser Jr. is in NSMB and not the Koopalings which is really stupid and ruined the game a little, he wasn't even in the original Mario Bros. games

I always thought they were bio weapons of some sort, they never talk, not even in MaLSS.
I'd say that it being classical was a miss translation as well. zombified worms and giant goombas arn't classical

I vaugely recall somthing about a screenshot of some dialoge they had in Mario is Missing. Either that, or I'm crazy.
Not all the nSMB baddies are going to be directly out of the original game, they have those sharks from SM64 and I remember seeing a whomp somewhere too.

Plus, the Koopalings all speak and have vivid personalities in one of the cartoon series. I'm not sure if the cartoons are canon or not, but their Koopaling personalities are a great source of character development.

I myself, never considered the cartoons cannon, too many introduced characters that were never in the games, all the character designs were horribly off. It was pretty obvious the developersof those shows had never played a Mario game in there life. I'd rather rely on the books and comics to figure out the personalities of ALL the characters, not just the koopa kids
