They are young! Time doesn't go slower, it's just that the shorter time line is spread out a few more years. It's a completely different 'verse, so why would time co-inside with our time? It's fiction. That's like saying Harry Potter's adventure took however long it took Rowling to write the book, but we all know it took seven years, not 15.

ZOMG YES SOME ONE AGREE'S...sorry.
yeah,it IS another universe so I guess you can't stick the time of the games to when they came out,it takes along time to make a game so that one threoy is moot

Better technology better games! That don't enter into it. Plus, it'd ruin the site. Example: "Why did Thwomps lose their spikes in 64 games?" "Lack of polygons."

I always thought the unwritten rule was that games occurred around the time of their release dates unless otherwise noted in the game or unless placing them in such a way would screw up the rest of the timeline. (Example: Yoshi's Island.)

I know for a fact that Miyamoto said there is no peticular order to any of the Mario games. So I guess it's all just opinion. Execpt if a game makes another reference to a game like *spoiler*--->Fawful being a shop keeper in M&L2
