...Perhaps cloning? I don't think Partners in time has anything to do with it because if one were to take them selves out of the past for a prolonged period of time, wouldn't that cause you to cease existing in the future?

If I remember correctly, the very first sport game that Baby Mario ever appeared in (I believe it was Mario Golf for the N64) stated that he was there via a time-space rip or something along those lines. It's in the manual; I'll try and find it again.

Maybe Mario's time machine, or the time machine from PiT has something to do with it.

Also, DK Jr. appears alongside his older self in Mario Tennis. I've heard the theory that Mario was able to use the (and this is all speculation) chest of time (a device Master Hand possibly used in SSB to take all of the characters from their respective times) to grab up the youngsters from the past. But since no one here accepts SSB as happening, I guess that theory's moot.

I thought DK Jr. and DK were seperate characters.
EDIT: Another thing. My siblings say that the babies are the Bros' children.

They're wrong as far as I know. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are exactly that: Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.

I thought DK Jr. and DK were seperate characters. Although information on the subject is controversial, here's how the facts currently stand, and how Rare has stated they intended it to be: the DK in DKC is the adult DK Jr. and Cranky Kong is the elderly DK Sr.

They're wrong as far as I know. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are exactly that: Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. Precicely. Why would cannon even involve them in sports? It is just wrong...them appearing together at all. Creates memories in the older brother's heads and creates time loops. Time travel can cause a lot of problems. I doubt they handled it well in M&L2 >_< They didn't have to do that...ugh....

actually they did mess with the future in MaLPIT.
in thwomp volcano baby mario using his water thingy on a burning thwomp, this got E.gadd of the past thinking and then we have a cut sceen of the elder Gadd saying his memory is being changed then build some hydro gush thingy. Young gadd says he is then heading for boo woods for paranormal studies.
if this is true then M.and.L. are at least in their twenties

If they're in their 20's they would be about 5 in Donkey Kong.

time+mushroom world=slower
that and Gadd said he worked in the woods for 20 years,he left when mario and luigi were about 1 or 3

I've though about the whole "mushroom world has a different rate of time" thing. It's a good thought, but after a while it just gets too confusing.

I don't think that theory works. Think about it. As it stands, Mario and Luigi are at least in their forties or fifties (I say fifty-one). That means Peach is also about that age (a little younger). If time passes slower in the Mushroom Dimension, then when Mario and Luigi came to the Mushroom Dimension, Peach would most likely still have been growing up. But we see her as an adult in SMB. Also, I doubt Bowser would be grown either.

but luigi's mansion states that gadd was working in boo woods for 20 years I belive,PIT in the past has a cut scean of E.gadd leaving for that lad in the woods with the mansion(which probable wasn't there at the time) when the bros. were like 1 or 3
*looks* well the guide doesn't state it and I don't feel like hooking the cube up right now but I just put two and two together, besides isn't 50 a little too old to be doing that stuff they should atleast be like 37 or something like that

My teachers over 50 and he can whip a seniors @$$.
40 really isn't very old. If you stay healthy and take your mushrooms regularly you can be fit.
And star power could preserve youth ect ect.
