Pidgits

I was browsing through a site recently and it made a pretty good point: in Super Mario Bros. 2, there were the Pidgits and they were also in Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time. Ordinarally, this wouldn't be a problem, but in the SMB2 instruction manual, it says that Wart gave them their magic carpets in order to spread bad dreams. The ones in PiT also have carpets. Explain.

I guess Wart has been around for quiote a while. He does live in the land of dreams and we don't know how fast time passes there, if at all.

Well, it would have to pass slowly, because the Pidgits are in the past when Mario and Luigi are babies.

Wart could easily be 40+ years old. He gave Pidgits carpets before Mario and Luigi were born.

The only issues are that Wart would already have taken over, the Sub-Con would have died in the pot they were trapped in, and they wouldn't wait so long to send their message. (Assuming SMB2 actually happened)

By the way, in SMW after you beat the special zone the bullet bills turn into pidgit bills. The pidgits seem to be flaping their wings even though they're flightless birds.

Maybe Wart and the Pidgits originate from a dreamzone seperate from Subcon. That way they can get their carpets early but not invade Subcon until much later, when they discover it.

And flapping Pidgits? If they replace Bullet Bills, then they're just having fun after being shot out of Bill Blasters.

Another dreamzone...interesting...Dream Depot (Mario Party 5) perhaps? And Pidgit Bills are shot out of cannons. You can hear the same sound effect and you see this whenever there's a working Bill Blaster nearby. What's weird is that the diagonal moving ones are still Bullet Bills, as are Bonzai Bills. I can't explain this in-universe. (Out of universe probably just an oversight by Nintendo.) By the way, Pidgits are also in Wario's Woods, but don't fly.

But is Wario's Woods even Canon?
Wart and his people probably lived in one of the dreams in MP5, like you said.
