like every creature in the crystal palace they are rhino's icyfied and obviously serve the crystal king

It's pretty much just the cold climate version of a dino-rhino (only it dosen't do anything)

No, there part of a puzzle and all the do is talk to you. Fun fact: Some unused rips from the Paper Mario ROM were found suggesting you could actually battle albino-dino. Unfortunately they took that part out oft the game before it was released.  (sheet courtesy of MFGG) |

When I was hunting through SMWs GFX files, I found graphics for a dino rhino breathing fire, so these are likely just altered to breathe ice.
