It should be in "a working project of mine" or some such thread.

Well, remember that you can get from the mushroom kingdom to dinosaur land by hot air balloon, and mario has to get sarasaland with the sky pop. Vibe island has rexes so it must be nere dinosaur land, and the delphino islands are southwest of the mushroom kingdom.

Vibe island has rexes so it must be nere dinosaur land, I recall the opening movie saying it was somewhere off the cost of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Within the Mushroom Kingdom, ie not the Mushroom World, Toad Town is near the centre, with a port. Then, the deserty and mountainous areas are generally quite South-East. The icy. places, (ie Shiver City) are to the North. And the forests are close to the centre.
There are two moons: The one you are fired to in Paper Mario 2, and the one you fight Raphael the Raven on, in Yoshi's Island on the SNES.
I hope that helps.

I stated in a previous topic that I believe that Ralphael's moon is artificial. Also, I believe there's more than 2. There's a completely different looking one in Super Mario Land 2, and the Star Road is a "moon" of sorts.

The moon from SML2 can be seen in the background of the star road in SMW.

I think Star road may be more of a paralel diminsion type thing.

The moon from SML2 can be seen in the background of the star road in SMW. And Star Haven seems to be connected to Star Road. (Star Haven is proven to be close to Mushroom Earth)

Star Haven is located near Star Road, which is near Rainbow Road, which is (can be) above Mushroom City, which could be Shroom City, which is near Toad Town, near Vibe Island. And that's about all I can figure at once.
I think I confused myself there.

Good, except you forgot that there's more than one Rainbow Road. For example, the one in Double Dash is much closer to Mushroom Earth than the one in 64. And welcome.

true. Hm... that's puzzling.
I wish I still had my map. Though it wouldn't be that useful anymore, I guess.

I started a map one time. But there was too much stuff in the Mushroom Kingdom area and Nintendo kept releasing more so I quit.

I made a map too, but then just as your did, it became outdated.

Same fate for mine, I fear.
Let's face it. Nintendo is obviously trying to PREVENT us from making a map. Why else would they constantly make new areas? (multiple deserts, Rainbow Roads, "main" cities, Peach's Castle Locations, more recently, borders...)

Deserts aren't that weird and if you're talking about borders to other countries, I think it's appreciated. You do have a point though. In any case, it makes a better game to make new areas every time rather than rehashing old ones, so can you blame them? Even if it makes a nightmare for us. And Nintendo gives us even fewer measurements, so it's hard to judge. Just about all we know are the lengths of some of the Mario Kart tracks and that Mario is 5' 1."
