I realized the other day that Mario visits Popstar in Kirby Super Star. The question is, How did he and his friends get there? Is Popstar in the Mushroom Dimension?

Could this be another 4th wall thing or something?

Well, it's not a breaking-the-fourth-wall instance because none of the characters present are acknowledging that they are in a game.
I don't really see how this would prove SSBM either.
Whoa, one thing I just noticed: there are two sets of the Mario characters in the audience. Clones?

I'm just going to say that it's in the Mushroom Dimension somewhere.

Whoa, whoa whoa! You accept Mario and Kirby into the same canon so easily from one reference, and yet you deny the connections between Mario and DK completely despite the numerous references?

That's not a Kirby reference. The concept of stars isn't owned solely by the Kirby games.

the star rod only appears in the mario and kirby stories

Where does it appear in Kirby? Give me some evidence and I'll gladly retract my statements. Although, I still believe that Paper Mario never happened.

Read some Melee trophies, as far as I know. The Star Rod was defined to be from a Kirby game (reference out of mind right now).

For the hundredth time, I don't deny that Mario and DK are connected. I simply say that they're in separate dimensions. I base this on numerous points of evidence set forth in that essay on my site. Regarding Kirby, nobody seemed to care, so I just decided to stick his planet in Mario's dimension because it seemed more fitting than our own. If you have something that disproves this or another theory that better explains Mario and Kirby's connections, I'll gladly consider it.

Kirby lives in a seperate Galaxy.

Does everyone still agree that Mario and Kirby live within the same physical universe? This isn't proven or anything, it's just kind of convenient. If anyone thinks there's a good reason why they shouldn't be in the same universe, just say so.

I wouldn't be surprised is most or all of the Nintendo characters lived in the same universe. Considering all the cameos.

Kirby's world, universe and everything is the imagination and/or dream of someone and/or everyone. It's not a physical world, but a dream world. That's why Mario and other characters could have appeared in it, someone simply imagined him there.
This also explains Super Smash Bros. Some kid is playing with his Nintendo toys and makes them fight (his hand is Master Hand). Go watch the intro again and you'll see what I'm saying. The trophy room in SSBM is his room, he's possibly older then.
But does that mean that Kirby games never happened? Or that SSB happened in the very same Dream World, making it part of the Kirby timeline? I have no idea.

But there are multiple pictures of Popstar from space. That makes me assume that it's a real planet...star...thing. Dreamland is just the name of a certian part of Popstar.
