No, the star world in SML2 is just outer space. That's why Mario needs a helmet to breath.

oh,I was thinking that since it is oviously not a real star and it is populated by star people it might be star haven.The stars would be evil because they were hyptnotized by tantanga(he did the same thing in sarasaland).

Star Havens over the Mushroom Kingdom, the Star Zone's over Mario Land, and Star Road is (supposedly) over Dinosaur Land.

I don't think there's any one place called the Star Zone. That was just the part of space above the SML2 continent.

Hey, have you seen the moon in the background of the star world, it looks just like the one in the space zone(it even has a face). This is very good evedence to suggest that the star world is the same as that level in the space zone.
