I've always just placed that island off the coast of Yoshi's Island, but if it's a reservation, it's possibly close to Peach's castle or something. Toomai, we didn't see the entire island (as far as I remember). Maybe farther inland there was food.

It's anyones geuss what it's for. Something also here is how is World 6 is "glowing" cus everything around it is black and only the title screen shows it at night. The level map shows the sun and moon and the levels go from dusk to night. And if it is in Dark Land I highly doubt any of the trees or other plant life could exist. Since most of it is on volcanic area.

And the Subcon theory would support my "world 6 is from Dinosaur Land theory".

There is a portal on top of the mountain that leads to the koopa kingdom.(why do you think baby bowser is there?)

After you beat the world five boss, you see the little cut scene of yoshi blowing up the castle and instead of running to the next one like he usually does, he get this weird glowy aura around him and starts to float. I'm assuming it is some sort of portal that takes him to world 6 (A.K.A: Darkland)

Another theory is that when he went up to the moon he came down in the koopa kingdom instead of yoshis island.

Yeah, but don't we see Yoshi blow up the world 5 castle? He can only do that after he fought Raphial the Raven.

Good point,so should we go with the portal theory?It would explain how all the minions got to yoshis island(we can't atribute everything to kamek's magic,he can only do so much).

Well. Anyway. That pic is just a pic of the Island at night. The cahnge in shape of things is just because those mountonus looking things are actuaaly trees. And you know whenever they make sports games thaey always make a course or something dedicted to each of the main characters. In Mario Golf TT the had a mountain with Mario,Luigi,Yoshi,and I think Peaches faces carved into it....

No no no.
Most of the levels of world 6 are in sunset/sunrise.
The geography has mountains in the center, not a lake of lava with a castle.
It did show Raph's castle getting blown up.
The Yoshi's got teleported.

It had to be sunset, since the moon it out when you reach Bowser's castle.

Ok. So I'm looking at my YI game right now and comparing the dark tital screen to the light one and there the same place. There's a blue lake were you said there was a lava pit, it's probly just some night time affect turning the water ed because it's in the exact same shape as the lake in the light version. And the volcano is in the same spot as well.
