Obviously, the Moon in PM:TTYD needs some explaning done. - How can Mario breathe?
- Why doesn't Mario swell because of lack of air pressure?
- How can Bobbery still explode?
- How can Earth gravity be in effect during battles and in the X-Naut base?
- How does Mario run around the Moon's equator in only about six screens?
- If Mario can breathe, then why does the X-Naut base need an airtight shield?

I havn't played the game but it's probably not the moon. It has high gravity. And it's still fairly in the atmosphere.

Well, I remember Goombella saying something like, "How are we even breathing? Maybe we shouldn't ask." My only idea would be that the Star Spirits or some other mystical power was sustaining them. And I think Mushroom Earth's moon is just really small. And so since Mario and his companions were the only ones given special powers, the X-Nauts still needed an airtight base.

Yes. It's seen in the second Paper Mario and in Yoshi's Island (I think).

In Yoshi's Island you could walk on a tiny moon looking ball and after you fight Bowser, Kamek and him fly off towards the moon. There's also the space zone in Super mario Land. I think the moon in PM2 is just another tiny moon.

I'd never considered the possibility that there might be several moons, but it certainly makes sense. Would you guys say there are three?

Hey, that's also an argument that supports the theory that the Mushroom Kingdom is not on our Earth because our Earth only has one moon.

The name Mushroom WORLD kinda proved that already.
And I'm not considering the small moon like things I said above to be actual moons. Just orbiting things.

Well, the space levels in SML2 could have happened on a huge meteor or something. But I think the Yoshi's Island moon and the PMTTYD moon are actually supposed to be separate moons.

But I think the Yoshi's Island moon and the PMTTYD moon are actually supposed to be separate moons. Do you mean the moon in the background of Yoshi's Island or the place your on when you fight Rapheal the Raven? Cus yeah those are seperate.

I was talking about the place where you fight Raphael. Is it indeed separate from the other moon in Yoshi's Island?

Many times several charecters say something like "The moon in the sky!" as if there was only one.
They must be talking about the biggest moon around the Mushroom World.
The rest could be too small to consider.

It's probably the biggest and the oldest. Would you guys say the PM2 moon fits this description?

Yes,and by the way in a couple levels in world 5 YI,you can see more than one tiny moon.

I'm starting to think that the moon in YI is just a liittle chunk of space rock like the ones we've seen in the SMG previews. It's about the same size, so it seems resonable. So if the Mushroom World has any actual moon, it's definately the PM2 one.

What about the SML2 moon, it's definetly not a chunk of space rock.

SML2 and PM:TTYD are far enough apart that I think both those moons could be the same.

If you want to count out SML2's moon always being in a crescent shape and has facial features that change.

In SMW on the star world you can see the crescent shaped moon from SML2.
