I don't know about Ludwig being the mature one, but he is the oldest for sure.

How do you know Ludwig is the Oldest?

Well it has been stated in the show and other sources, plus he is the only one with a deep voice in NSMBW

Uhh.. So, I know people who are Older than me who have a Higher-Pitched Voice, and Wendy is a Girl, of course her Voice isn't that Deep!

Larry and Ludwig were stated as being the youngest and oldest in the SMB3 manual. The rest of them were never given any order.

It seems like Bowser like's to keep his youngest offspring close to him, or maybe its the other way around.

The Mario Wiki says that it does, and it also describes how it is implied that their order of birth goes along with the order that they are fought in in SMB3. I actually have a SMB3 manual lying around my house somewhere, I might try to look for it.
Apparently, they were given different ages in the cartoons.

Still, I don't think we should consider anything from the cartoons canon.

Shall we go with the SMB3 manual then? Even though it doesn't officially state the exact order for anyone other than Larry and Ludwig.

Here are all quotes from them in the US manual: Bowser sez: "Ha Ha Ha! These are my 7 children that are going to help me take over the Mushroom World!" The next page shows the Koopalings with the quote "We just love being mean!" and their names. Larry sez: "We took 7 wands from the 7 kings. Each of us has one. Our father has instructed us to protect the wands." Morton sez: "Grrrr. You're pretty tricky. With all these new moves, Mario will be difficult to beat. I'd better report this to our Dad!" Wendy sez: "This is the first time I've met up with Mario. I'm studying his moves very carefully." Iggy sez: "Ha ha! Mario and his friends must be getting very nervous now. I can hardly wait to meet up with them!" Roy sez: "Wow! Mario sure has some neat new tricks... I hope we can stop him!" Lemmy sez: "How far can Mario go? I hope he doesn't make it this far. Dad has many complicated tricks waiting for him here in the Dark Land. I've even heard about some new weapon that dad's been making." Ludwig sez: "Quite an exciting game isn't it? I'm glad to know we have such powerful enemies helping us out. We have more guys helping us besides these... but don't tell Mario." So, besides the order in which they appear, there's nothing about the ages there.

The Mario Wiki says that it does That's an error that's been bugging me for a long time. and it also describes how it is implied that their order of birth goes along with the order that they are fought in in SMB3.. This logic's roots are entirely from Lemmy's Land. Apparently, they were given different ages in the cartoons. Wendy's 16 and Lemmy and Iggy are the yougest. That's all I remember.

Maybe one of us should try to ask whoever posted that to cite their source then. I just found an online version of the manual and wasn't able to find anything about the ages either.

If it wasn't the manual, I think it may have been the official guide. I have a few scans of the 1st three chapters. It gives a little quote from each kid along with some information. I recall it saying that Morton is one of the older kids (though it doesn't give a number) I would give anything to be able to read that whole guide T_T I'll try to find the pictures I have later. One the topic of age, I always ordered them based on size and personality. From youngest to oldest I thinks it should be Larry, Lemmy, Iggy, Wendy, Morton, Roy, Ludwig. EDIT: here's the site: nintendope.iodized.net/smb3/strat.phpLarry:http://nintendope.iodized.net/smb3/16.php Morton:http://nintendope.iodized.net/smb3/24.php Wendy:http://nintendope.iodized.net/smb3/34.php

Ah, right, now I remember! But, you know, the official guides are generally written by different people than the manuals... guides tend to have errors or made-up information, too.
But nontheless, I believe Lemmy's Land and their order.

Don't see why we should base it off of Lemmy's Land...they don't have any more proof than we do. PDoogan: That's interesting. So I guess the most canon thing is that Larry, Iggy, and Lemmy are generally younger while Morton is older and Wendy is 16. This comes from sources of questionable canonocity, but it's the best we have at the moment. I don't see why you posted the Wendy page, though. It doesn't seem to show anything.

Well, I consider what the Nintendo Power guys say to at least be an opinion that can be considered to be the truth. But I feel like hearing it officially somewhere that Ludwig was the oldest.

It's strange how in the only game where they have had health points to compare at all, it was like this: Wendy - 350 HP Lemmy - 380 HP Morton - 500 HP Ludwig, Roy, Iggy, Larry - 550 HP If Larry is the youngest, how can he have the same amount of health as the oldest? He's also neither fat nor especially big. That always boggled my mind. Very offtopic, while re-checking the numbers I saw a 1993 DOS game called Luigi & Spaghetti: www.gamespot.com/pc/action/luigispaghetti/index.html. That's what I call a coincidence for the ages!

"I hope she made lotsa spaghetti!" was predictedin 1993? Well, that's weird.

The fact that it's a meme now is a very big coincidence, but the line as said by Luigi might actually be a reference. After all, Hotel Mario came out only one year later. Though, by the amount of reference material on the Net, Luigi & Spaghetti was not a big seller, so I doubt anyone would reference it.
