My question here is whether Toads (or should we cal them Toadstools?) are actually fungal in nature. We already had discussions about whether their mushroom caps are removable (which they seem to be), but even if they are they might still be evolved forms of fungi.
I would say that yes they are, simply because most of the evidence points to that.

Well depending on if you go with the movie or not, it seems that all Toads would be evolved fungi; since Bowser had devolved the king to fungi and such....

Yes, we should go by the movie, with our own concepts. If Daisy was desended from the dinosaurs wouldn't her father be devolved into a dinosaur? And welcome to the forum!  : ;D |

I've also thought about this: how about the devolution things devolve people only into fungus, monkeys, and dinosaurs, instead of what their desended from.

So, despite the fact that the mushroom caps don't seem to be part of their anatomy, we all agree that the toads are probably sentient forms of fungus and not mammals or anything else. Correct?
