It's an inverse one-way trap door. Kind of like a valve. Makes perfect sense.

O. Ok...but...I guess that might explain how the clouds stay in 1 spot....(And how some of the ones in the background have facial features)....Perhaps the're giant ("blank") puffs, to big and become to gaseous to use the attacks of other puffs. Are digem(lakitus) clouds a type of puff too? And the BlowHard cloud from super Mario 64. Maby we should start calling the entire group of senteint clouds puffs. I'm sure some of those couds in the sky are just regular clouds, but theres probably a bunch of gaseouse or ghost like beings desguised as clouds. So as for other things included in the "puff" family, dose anyone think any of the number of gohst/cloud like enemies would belong? Things like the whirlwing enemy from SMS or the small gohst/wind enemies from YI games. Or are they, along with all the other cloud beings better fited in the gohst category. Where dose Cloud N' Candy, Cloud Jin, and the Nimbus land fit in to all this? I'm still not totaly convinced that they are not just floating platforms that "emit" their own artificial cloud of types.

So cloud platforms, ruff puffs, jungem clouds, and the nimbus people are all part of a cloud spices. Oh, and wind creatures are not the same thing as cloud creatures.

No, wind creatures would go in the family of the wind elementals.

But the elementals go in the ghost family. And I'm pretty sure I herd somewhere that one of the wind enemies was a type of ghost. Are you sure we shouldn't put senteint clouds in the ghost family too? .....Or...maby the clouds are some king of group of micro organisms...

Then how do they exist? And I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that one type of wind creature was a type of ghost, maby it was a yoshi island game. I think Cloud Jin is some kind of gene. Maby the're all magical creatures.

I heard from one of the games somewhere. Also I looked in Mario Wiki and it said they were ghost in there too. Can't remember exactly where I it said they were ghost in the game though. Might have been in YI2...And I ment geni up there where I typed gene.
