I suppose that the potion could have been used on bowser in SMB.

It would have to. Lava's lava. It doesn't matter which particular pool you fall into.

LM is directly contradictory to SMS. If SMS indeed happened first due to King Boo being in it, then how do you explain how FLUDD was made? He said that he was studying ghosts for 20 years, right when Luigi gets there. This leaves no time for inventing FLUDD, and even if it did, no one could have delivered it to Isle Delfino. E. Gadd is not one to abandon something and come back to it later. If he abondonds something, he's never going to come back to it. This also proves that Mario & Luigi are in their 20's, since he left during PiT. Actually, he said that he'd been there since he was a lad of 20 or so...

You sure? I'm pretty sure he says something along the lines of "I've been here for twenty years, and I'll tell you, sonny, that mansion just popped up yesterday!"

That's what he said, more or less. I just started a new game a few days ago...

Okay, I suppose you're right. But it still doesn't explain the Luigi's Mansion & Super Mario Sunshine conundrum.

Hmmm... What's the conundrum again? Is it how king boo was in sunshine though it was released after Luigi's Mansion in wich King Boo was captured and turned into a painting. There dosn't seem to be anything suggesting that King boo could have escaped, and if there is nothing in the games suggesting that LM did indeed come before MS, then it might be safe to assume that Mario Sunshine came first. Either that, or perhaps they are two completely different ghosts, one could be the new king who replaces the old one once captured. That could explain why the two of them look so different in the games....but the again, all of the ghost in Super Mario Sunshine seemed to look a bit weird(er).......

Also, King Boo looks the same in all of the Sports games. The other issue is that E. Gadd directly went from research on Thwomps to research on Boos. He stayed in the Boo Woods until he met up with Luigi again, whom he had long forgotten. How was he able to distribute FLUDDs if he was busy working on ghost research and had neither the means of distributing them nor the money to start his own business.

He probably dosn't just work by himselfe all the time. He probably also has money coming in from the coffee place he owns. He could have had anyone drop Fludd off. And he didn't remember Luigi because PiT hadn't happened yet so that was like a whole other timeline made right there and the memories probably came to him in a different time line you know, when history got re-writen.........@_@. But really....we need to find some solid proof about wich game came first, Luigi's Mansion or Super Mario Sunshine, but sense that King boo is in a bunch of sports games that might meen Luigi's Mansion did come first....

I would think the opposite: Luigi's Mansion would come last because King Boo wouldn't be able to get out of the painting. He is alone in his lab in Luigi's Mansion. Also, he had no public exposure until SMS, so he wouldn't be able to find employees if he lives in Boo Woods. You bring up another good point with Starbeans Café. How would he have the resources or the desire to build it? Plus, he doesn't have time to. Remember he goes directly from Thwomp research to Boo research. (He still would have done this even without the timeline changing; he said he "had a hankering to do some research in the Boo Woods."

If they were two different King Boos the it'd be more likely that Luigi's Mansion came first. E Gadd might have been living alon in that lab since he was tweenty, but that dosn't mean that he never left it. I'm sure ghost hunting was more of a hobby for him and he just moved his house to boo woods to be close to his research and ghosts, but he probably could have made manny trips to other places. Even if he stayed in the house, he probaly had a way of comunicating with others. It looks like he not only owns a coffee shop but a whole nother corporation somewhere as well. The location is unkown but he could have had any of the people working there do things for him. I think he must have been a part of that even before he was tweenty. It's named after his last name so it's probably some kind of mostly family run buisinss. He might have started it or someone else in his family could have done it. So ,when dose it ever hint that he is poor anyway? He seems preety wich to me with all those gadgets and businesses he has.

He said, "I've been here since I was twenty," meaning he hadn't left. He is poor because he lives in a shack in the middle of a forest. If he was rich he could have at least spiffed it up a bit. Gadd Sciences, Inc. is not a family owned business: the symbol looks identical to E. Gadd's head. No one shows that much similarities. And do you know how old E. Gadd's father would have to be? I also highly doubt that Jr.'s description as "a strange old man in a white coat fits both people. He couldn't have started it either because he wouldn't heve the time or money to do it. E. Gadd is confusing that way; he can pull something out of nothing. The fact that he was twenty is irrelavnt; the issue is he went directly from Thwomp Volcano to Boo Woods. As far as King Boo in sports games goes, he looks like the LM version more than SMS version. Luigi's Mansion collides with so many things it's unbelievable.

E. gadd could have invented stuff when he was in boo woods and sold them over the internet in order to get money for research. Couldn't he have opperated his companey remotley while he studied boos? He also might have bought the cafe over the internet. Luigi's mansion dousn't collide with other games too much. But I think that super Mario sunshine comes after luigi's mansion.

If Luigi's Mansion comes before, explain King Boo in Super Mario Sunshine and sports games. Not to mention Bowser was "soundly defeated" in Luigi's Mansion, but not in Super Mario Sunshine. I highly doubt he could get a working connection in an unoccupied forest. He still wouldn't have the money to buy the coffee shop, and remember, he started with nothing on the menu so it wouldn't bring in cash. Even if his connection worked, he'd still have no means of sending it. He didn't invent a teleporter until he already owned the coffee shop, and even then, the teleporter somehow got there for no reason. Where does he get the money to start Gadd Sciences, Incorporated. And where does he get employees to run the place if he has no way to speak with them?

;/ He could have meent that he had just been living there since he was tweenty. Like I have ben in this house for at least 7 years. That dosn't meen that I havn't left the house for 7 years. I have to go to school just about everyday, and also there was that time I stayed with my dad in Georgia for 3 days. But this house has been my permanent place of residence for at least 7 years. And E Gadd clearly leaves the shack to go out hunting ghost in the mansion and probably goes to other places in boo woods in order to hunt ghosts. The shack was built to just help him be close to his research, it dosn't have to be a mansion or anything, besides look at the gallery he has and the all the machinery and the gold!!!! If he's poor, it's because he spent all his money on all those things and to start all those things....Why would you build a mansion if you knew you would leave it one day and never come back once your job there was complete. It's not like he'd be able to sell it. Who would want to live in a mansion that was out in the boo woods besides ghost of course, but they would't pay, theyed just come right in.

Like I said, he's probaly not poor. And if you ask me, the Boo in DD looks more like the boo from SS.

I've BEEN here since I was twenty. Been implies you do not leave the area, whereas lived means trips can occur. However, he could have implied he was in the Boo Woods since he was twenty, but he couldn't have left it. Another good point: where did E. Gadd get all of that gold and the angel statues? It doesn't matter how smart you are, you can't pull money out of nowhere (except with magic, which E. Gadd definately doesn't have any connection with.) He made the machinery, so it wouldn't cost as much as if he had bought it...all of the parts aren't nearly as expensive as the whole machine. Why would he build an extravagant art gallery if he knew he was going to abandon it? I think the Boo looks more like the one in LM...better size, blueish tints, and the same laugh. And I'm saying neither Gadd nor his relatives could have built Gadd Sciences for previously stated reasons.

Live in been meen exactly the same thing when used like that to state how long someone has lived, stayed, resided, been, worked, researched, studied, at or in a certain place. The last 3 could be interpreted a bit differently but been is short for been living or been staying or been any of the other things. It dosn't really matter wich one he was probably doing more than one or all and I think it's safe to say that he wasn't dead while he was there so that includes living!!!!!

First of all, living in this context means to have residency at. Secondly, he had to stay there because if he left, then there would be no way of him telling that the mansion suddenly popped up.

Well let's see here. The first statement is preety much just a summary of what I said. He could have left the area in the past but at the time when Luigi came to boo woods Gadd had been there for x days straight. x is the number of days ago when the mansion first apered plus any number of days. So anytime before x he could have left and sense x is no more than 1 to a few days, he had pleanty of opportunities to leave and still be around to notcice that in the coures of one or a few days, a mansion had apered near his shack seemingly out of thin air.
