Ok, people. As much as I hate to do this, I gotta lay down a few guidelines. 1. No Spamming. This one should be pretty obvious. 2. No Trolling. Please don't come posting in here just to try and tick somebody off. 3. No Cursing. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally in favor of free speech but I'm hoping this will be a "Rated E" board, if you catch my drift. 4. NO TALKING IN ALL CAPS. I don't expect everybody to have perfect grammar but I know how annoying it can be when somebody posts like that. 5. Please, no attacking anybody elses beliefs or habits. This board is about Mariology, not arguing about other people's personal lives. 6. Just like No.5, please don't mention anything about your own personal lives if you think it might start trouble. 7. In regards to posting pictures, please use an external link if possible. I'm not sure how much the bandwidth of this little tiny board can take. 8. Try and be courteous to people on the boards. Seriously, it will make things alot more fun for everybody. 9. If you don't agree with somebodys opinion, don't get ticked. Just calmly debate it. 10. And finally try to avoid using chatspeak ( 1337 ). Ok, that should do it. I know it may seem like a little much but just bear with me, I'm hoping that if everybody respects the rules and eachother then it will make it alot more fun to post here. ^_^

Hey Claws, good to see you. I guess I'll start out with an introduction. For those who don't know, my name is Kamikaze Koopa and I created this site as a place for people to come and have serious (for the most part ) discussions about Mariology. In case some of you might be unaware, Mariology is a fictional term that makes reference to the in universe study of the Super Mario videogame series. The term "in universe" means "as if it were real". For example, if somebody were going to have an "in universe" discussion about a movie, then they would discuss the characters and the world that they existed in as opposed to the actors and film-makers. In some instances you may see the word "canon" being used. Canon basically means "true" or "having actually happened". For example, if a person says that "this scene is not canon" in regards to a movie, he would mean that that scene did not actually happen and should be disregarded as part of the actual storyline. Keep in mind, however, that what one persons considers canon may not be canon to somebody else. It is completely up to the individual and is free to be debated. Such debates are one of the reasons I created this site, so please if you have an opinion on something Mario-related then bring it up and see what happens. ^_^ Ok, that about does it for my introduction. New members should feel free to post their own intros in this thread. Don't be shy.

I'm Claws (also known as Claws84 and a few other variations of Claws). I'm very interested in the entire world of Nintendo continuity (I can say that because thanks to SSB and SSMB it really is a single continuity), but particularly Mario's chunk. By this I mean Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Wario, and any related spinoff. I think trying to explain how all of the intricate details of this universe work together is very fun, so that's why I'm here. I also post at DKU forums and TMK forums every now and then.

Hey, I'm TakuTheSamurai. (Variations: TakuTheSamuraiX, and TakuTheBartender) I've been a Nintendo (Esp. Mario) fanboy since the early nineties, and have been part of the "community" since '99, roughly. I have tossed the odd bit of controversy about once or twice, and am a respected member of IGN. I look forward to viewing new viewpoints concerning the Super Mario Universe.
Thanks, Kamikaze. I got it off Mythbusters. Great show. 8:00 PM central time on the discovery channel.

Hey, I've been a Mario fan all my life, and only recently have I noticed that I'm not really too intrested in the games.
I'm shifting into the history area and you guys seem to be good for sharing my ideas. And I have many.

Do you have a link on TMK, Kamikaze? If not, maybe you should request one. I know I'm going to do the same after I read a book on web site design, register a domain that I have to pay for, and spruce up the site after I get a better domain. I'll probably need more essays, too, something I'll continue after I finish the timeline.

I requested one a long time ago, but I guess I didn't make the cut. *shrug*

Hiyas, I'm Phantasia (call me jarrod, mainly because phantasia is hard to type and i'm tired). I like mario alot, i own most of the games - my favorite is Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars - but my mind is a little blown from the stuff you guys are posting here. I know you like to take things seriously, but it's only a game and i don't think you really need answers to everything that goes on in it. I can understand fandom and stuff like that, but i can't really understand why you would need theorems about stuff that occurs in a video game. It's like trying to add logic to war of the worlds - it just doesn't work because the movie sucks (only the new steven speilberg version). Either way, i've got my own forum and a website. www.phantasiatwilight.tk and www.s13.invisionfree.com/guild_forums are mine. >>

*sigh* Again with the criticism. No offense or anything, but you're not telling us anything we havn't heard before. We get people in here all the time who tell us the exact same stuff that you are. So please, if you're not going to add to the conversations constructively, don't post. It won't make any difference and it does nothing but annoy people. We have our hobbies and you have yours.
