*PLEASE READ* I've finally got this finished and up! It's been what, 5 months? Anyway before you begin, mind that the story of this game is VERY long, I mean, It's like a STORY, dialogue and everything. But, if it begins to interest you, by all means keep reading it to the end! It took a while and a lot of thought, so enjoy!
Super Mario Legacy: 30th Anniversary:
Story –
Late at night in the Mushroom Kingdom, someone’s up in Bowser’s Castle. Kamek is mixing a cauldron filled with a mysterious, glowing pink liquid. To add a final touch to his brew, he zaps it with a blast from his wand, causing a giant explosion of pink light and smoke. Kamek, now smashed into the wall, dislodges himself and falls face-first into the stone floor, he then walks over to the cauldron and watches in awe as the entire pot melds together, forming some sort of scepter. Unfortunately as the Magikoopa touches it, it burns him, and he yelps, dropping it onto the floor, causing pink sparks to fly everywhere. Kamek looks around to make sure no one saw that incident, and carefully picks it up and hurries to Bowser’s throne room.
Bowser sits (a very impatient and bored look on his face) in his throne, in the back of his giant throne room, as Kamek rushes through the double doors and over to the Koopa King.
“Here is the scepter you forced--uh, told me to make for you using that weird crystal Your Righteousness!”
Bowser takes the scepter and holds it in the air.
“Gwahaha! With this scepter, I can finally put a stop to Mario’s reign of kicking my butt, and destroy him forever!”
At Bowser’s last word, pink lightning strikes the tip of the castle.
“Aha! I can feel its power as if it’s coming from the sky above me!”
Bowser squeezes the scepter, which causes sparks to fly out.
“Hey! Is it supposed to do that?”
Kamek gulps nervously.
“Uh…Yes! Yes it is Your Awfulness!”
“Gwahaha! Oh, the awesome power of my beautiful scepter! Bwahahahahaha!”
Kamek wipes his face with his sleeve and huffs.
Outside, the moon goes down and the sun (with its evil smile) comes up, as Bowser (in his Koopa Clown Car), with scepter in hand, flies off towards Mario’s house.
At Mario’s house, Mario is apparently still asleep in his bed as Princess Peach walks up the path to the house holding a picnic basket. She stops at a large tree stump and opens up the basket, pulling out a tiny plate which transforms into a rather large plate, and a turkey leg which transforms into a whole turkey. However, right after she pulls out the food, she spots Bowser flying toward the house, so (after the food puts itself back into the basket and it closes itself) she runs behind a tree and peeks around to see what Bowser will do.
Bowser is flying towards Mario’s home, scepter prepped and ready.
“Get ready, Mario! After today, you won’t be bothering me, or anyone, ever again! Gwahaha!”
Unfortunately for him, right as he says that, the scepter goes berserk and zaps his Clown Car, causing it to shut off.
“Hey! What gives?”
Bowser hits the Car with his fist, then it and Bowser both begin hurtling towards the ground.
Peach (still hiding) watches as Bowser lies moaning on the ground, and the scepter begins to go haywire again! It flies into the air and blows off Mario’s roof, and then strikes a second time, this time hitting Mario himself from the inside of the house. The plumber flies up, and lands right next to Bowser on the ground. They both look up, see each other, and jump back a few feet.
When Mario gets over his daze, he realizes its Bowser and gets into fighting position.
“Bwahaha! Time to say bye-bye, Mario!”
Bowser raises the scepter, which starts to glow, then brings it down to attack! But, as he does, it begins going crazy with pink electricity, and Bowser brings it up to take a closer look.
“What’s up with this thing?”
The scepter goes even crazier, and starts floating while sparks are sputtering out! It then forms a void which sucks up Bowser, Mario, and the Clown Car!
Peach finally comes out of her hiding spot.
“Mario!”
She too, begins getting sucked up, but uses her parasol to slow down, only for it to turn inside out. She is sucked into the void and it closes.
With all three of them gone, the door to Mario’s house falls over, revealing Luigi (with his hand up like he was trying to push the door open) behind it with a shocked look on his face. The walls of the house also fall over, causing Luigi to jump.
“Mario?”
The trio is hurtling through time and space inside a pink trail led by the scepter.
Another void opens up in a familiar looking grassy environment, which dumps the three there and closes, with the scepter flying off into the distance.
Bowser gets up and sees that the scepter is gone.
“My scepter!”
He then starts bawling.
Off in the distance, a strange little fellow is running across the field, he looks kind of like…Mario?!
Classic Mario stops and looks around, noticing the scepter in the sky and the three dazed characters. He seems to pay more attention when he notices Mario. Before he can react, a gust of wind engulfs the area, causing Classic Mario and the other three to look up to the scepter in the sky, which has begun emitting a pink trail similar to the earlier one. Bowser looks at this with wide eyes.
“That must be a trail! I know it! Gwahaha! Maybe I’ll get my revenge after all!”
The Koopa King snags Princess Peach and jumps into the Clown Car, taking off after the scepter.
“Haha! Once again, the King of Awesome gets his way!”
Classic Mario hurries over to Mario. When the plumber stands up, he sees Classic Mario and jumps, but Classic Mario just points toward the area where Bowser and Peach had been, then toward the trail of light.
Mario gets one of those ‘angry yet determined’ looks in his eyes. A door appears, and the two enter.
After a short run through the first level of World 0: Subcon, a cutscene shows Wart in his palace, sitting in his throne and staring out the window at the streak of pink light.
“What is that pink light? It's beautiful!”
His fellow minions are all gathered around, looking at the light, confused. Finally, Mouser steps up.
“I don’t know about you amateurs, but I think it probably came from that staff-thing that flew by a few minutes ago.”
“Yes, but what was that? Nothing makes sense anymore”
Wart is still looking out the window when he sees Bowser and Peach in the Clown Car flying past, chasing the scepter, making him stand up immediately.
“Who was that?! It wasn't just my eyes was it?”
Mouser pipes up again.
“Looked like some turtle-guy in a flying bowl to me.”
Wart shakes his head, frustrated.
“No, there was someone else there… It looked like... A princess! That’s exactly what I need! A princess, to make me happy!”
Mouser runs over to Wart, angry at his apparent stupidity.
“Don’t you get it? They’re obviously after the staff! It’s probably real valuable! Or better yet, it could be magic! You could use it to get those fairy weirdos back in your green mitts again! These Shy Guy idiots definitely aren't gonna do the trick!”
Mouser turns around and kicks a Shy Guy, making it fall over. Wart sees and smacks Mouser in the back, making him also fall over.
“Watch it Mousy! They may be worthless, but we’re gonna need as much help as we can get if anything’s ever gonna work around here.”
Mouser gets up and wobbles around dizzily. Wart walks to the center of the room to speak to all of the minions.
“Listen up! We’re gonna head out and follow those weird people! To find out what they’re up to, and to get my green mitts--er, hands on that magic staff! So fire up the engines and let’s go!”
Next, the entire palace is seen rising out of the ground with large rocket boosters on the bottom, it then flies off in the direction of the light.
Mario and Classic Mario reach the end of the stage only to find, not the scepter, but a Portal. They clearly see that it will take them to where they need to go, so they hop inside it. The area they exit to is not like the last: No Shy Guys, Beezos, or Tweeters, instead this place is filled with Goombas and Koopas! It feels just like home to Mario, but something is different, Mario knows he isn’t in the present day, instead he’s been transported to World 1: 1988! The era of Super Mario Bros. 3!
Before World 1 can be started, another cutscene is showed:
Wart’s palace enters a portal similar to the one Mario and Classic Mario entered, and they are transported to World 1. Wart begins talking to the minions.
“Alright, we need to set up a sort of base here in these unfamiliar lands, that way we can continue on and you guys can say something if ya see those weirdos. Mouser, you stay here first, got that?”
Mouser adjusts his glasses and smiles menacingly.
“Yeah, got it, time to break out the Bombs!”
Wart crosses his arms.
“Hmm, bombs, where do they make bombs? A factory! Make your guys’ bases factories! It’s the perfect evil setting! You know, because it destroys the environment and stuff!”
All the minions cheer as Mouser jumps out the window and the palace flies off.
After World 1 is completed, and Mouser has been defeated, the era of Super Mario World is unlocked: 1990!
Upon reaching the end of the final level in World 2, Mario/Classic Mario has finally caught up with Bowser on the top of his familiar castle from Super Mario World.
“Gwahaha! Give it up, Mario/ya little weirdo! I’ve got the home field advantage! And Peach!”
After a battle against Bowser, he flies away in defeat, and Mario/Classic Mario can continue to the next World, 1996! The time of Super Mario 64!
Once Tryclyde is defeated, Mario/Classic Mario proceed to World 4: 2004, and enter the sunny Isle Delfino! Here, the plumbers again meet Bowser high above Corona Mountain.
Bowser Jr. is lazily floating in the green goop, while Bowser sits squinting his eyes in his Clown Car, which is floating near the edge of the tub.
“Come on in, Momma Peach!”
Peach is standing on the edge, near the goo.
Mario/Classic Mario fly up to the arena.
Peach sits up, “Mario!”
“You again?! Don’t you ever give up?/You again?! Hey, have you gotten fatter?” Bowser Jr. pipes in.
Bowser is not at all surprised this time at Mario’s rival.
“Gwahaha! Well Mario, you’re pretty good if you can make it through a volcano twice in a mud boat! But, I suppose our vacationing can wait until after I beat you right back down to that piece of rock!”
After defeating Bowser the second time and knocking the tub upside down, the whole gang fall down and into another portal, which disappears, leaving Bowser Jr. to cluelessly fall down to the island.
In the next world, the plumbers meet Luma, who aids them throughout the next two Worlds with the Spin ability.
Continuing on through the deep space of World 5 and defeating Clawgrip at his factory, the Marios head to World 6: 2010, where more gravity defying awaits, along with the next confrontation with Bowser.
Mario/Classic Mario, along with Luma, reach the thrown of Bowser, where he awaits their arrival.
“This is just getting a little repetitive, don’t you think overalls? I’ll save you the speech this time, how about it? Let’s just get to the pummeling!”
After Bowser swallows the Grand Star and becomes enormous, Mario/Classic Mario are thrown into another round of déjà vu with Bowser, the hero comes up once again victorious, and Bowser falls head first into his Clown Car, and speeds into the giant vortex in the background, which turns out to be the final massive portal leading to Outside Time.
The two Marios immediately jump in after him.
Once Mario/Classic Mario has passed all 6 Worlds, defeated all three of Wart’s minions, and beaten Bowser 3 times, they will reach the final World, Outside Time.
In this World, the Final Boss depends on which Mario has the higher % (see Gameplay and Information section). After the Final Boss is defeated, the player can choose to fight the other Final Boss by achieving 100% with the opposite Mario (see Gameplay and Information section).
If Bowser is fought:
Bowser enters Outside Time through the final portal.
“Gwahaha! My beautiful scepter! Nobody will ever separate us again!”
Bowser proceeds to kiss the scepter as Mario and Classic Mario jump into the scene and land on transparent ground. When Bowser sees, he hides the scepter behind his back and looks embarrassed.
“Oh, hi there Mario and Little Mario! Hehe, this is a lovely place!”
Mario and Classic Mario simply stare at Bowser, not knowing what he is talking about. Bowser notices that they aren’t saying anything, and this angers him.
“Whatever Mario! You know, I was so happy just a second ago that I was gonna give you Peach back, but now, I don’t think I will! And now that I’m NOT giving Peach back, I think I’ll build myself an empire here! Bwahaha!”
Bowser then uses the scepter to enlarge his Clown Car to castle proportions, and Mario must trek through it to reach Bowser at the top.
Once at the top, Mario looks up and sees Peach in a cage being held in place by ten metal beams. He hears Bowser’s laugh.
“Bwahahaha! This is it Mario, nowhere to run this time, just you and me…Oh! And my all-powerful scepter! Gwahaha!”
Mario must face Bowser in a very familiar way (see Bosses section). After he has been defeated, the scepter shatters, his Clown Car shrinks, turns upside down and dumps him out, where he falls into the abyss of Outside Time and is transported back to Peach’s Castle. He lands face first onto the castle’s roof, and while he lays there moaning, Kamek arrives on his broom stick.
“Great Almighty Goomba! What happened, Your Painfulness?!”
Bowser shifts around and blinks, he then looks up at Kamek and rubs his nose.
“Shut up, Kamek. I’m fine.”
As soon as Bowser says that, his Clown Car appears above him, before falling on top of him.
“Now…now I need help.”
Back in Outside Time, two portals open up, and Mario and Peach say goodbye to Classic Mario as he jumps into one and is sent back to his time. The two then enter the other portal.
Soon after, Mario, Luigi, and Peach are seen having a picnic in front of Mario’s house on that same stump, as Bowser is brought into the scene in a spiky green wheelchair, being pushed by Kamek who runs him into a tree.
The screen cuts to black and Bowser yells as the credits roll.
After the credits, Wart’s palace enters Outside Time only to find no one there.
“Hello? Is anybody here? Magic staff? Great.”
If Wart is fought:
Wart’s palace enters Outside Time. Wart walks onto the balcony and reaches out to grab the scepter just as Bowser enters Outside Time in his Clown Car.
“Ha! Got you, magic staff!”
Bowser looks up at Wart and grinds his teeth.
“Hey! That’s a scepter not a staff! And it’s mine! Who are you anyway?”
Wart looks down at Bowser.
“Oh, it’s you! The weird guys! I’m The Great Frog King Wart!”
Bowser gets even angrier.
“Who are you callin’ “weird guys” Wart Face? And gimme back my scepter! It was made for me!”
Wart laughs.
“Bahaha! Well, I guess it’s mine now!”
Wart raises the scepter and uses it to zap Bowser’s Clown Car, which causes him to fall out (showing the same scene at Peach’s Castle with Kamek), but Peach hangs on. Mario and Classic Mario quickly jump through the portal into Outer Time as Mario grabs Peach and Classic Mario jumps onto the Clown Car (which causes it to fall), then over to join Peach and Mario. Wart looks at the two plumbers, confused.
“Who are you two overall wearing guys?”
He then takes a closer look at Classic Mario.
“Hey! Its you! Meatball right? You’re the one who freed all of those Subcons!”
Classic Mario stares at him angrily.
“Well, you’re gonna have to do more than pop open a jar this time!”
He laughs and enters his palace. Classic Mario looks at Mario and Mario nods, he then enters the palace, with Peach and Mario staying there.
After reaching the top of the palace, Wart snorts at Classic Mario and holds up his scepter.
“Get ready, peewee! Gwahahaha!”
Classic Mario looks on, ready to put an end to this.
Classic Mario must fight Wart in a familiar, yet 3D way (see Bosses section). Once he is defeated, the scepter shatters, and his palace is sucked into a portal to be taken back to his own time. Then, Classic Mario falls down to join Peach and Mario who say goodbye to him as he enters a portal back to his own time. Mario and Peach then enter the second one and are sent back to the present day Mushroom Kingdom.
(The same picnic scene is showed before the credits both times.)
Once the credits have ended, Peach will be shown standing in darkness, when portal appears next to her. A chubby orange arm then reaches out and snatches her away! Both Mario and Classic Mario leap in to the portal. The World Map is shown next, where a new line extends from Outer Time, transforming into 1985, the secret world and era of Super Mario Bros.!
The Marios must trek through 7 levels of this world, before coming to the 8th and final one, where the tough boss awaits: Classic Bowser.
After the long battle with Classic Bowser, Mario and Classic Mario rescue Peach from his clutches. And they all return to their respective time periods.
After this, the true credits will play, and you’ll have fully completed Super Mario Legacy!
Gameplay and Information –
This game would feature Modern Mario (Super Mario 64 onward) and a Classic Mario (every game before Super Mario 64).
The graphical layout of the game would have Modern Mario’s stages be set in 3D (like Super Mario Galaxy), whereas Classic Mario’s stages are set in 2.5D (like Donkey Kong Country Returns or some stages like that of Sonic Generations). One exception to the layout is during Bowser’s boss fight in World 2 and the fights with Mouser, Tryclyde, and Clawgrip. Here Modern Mario is controlled like Classic Mario (only being able to move two directions), but keeps the same control scheme (see Controls section).
This game would have highly interactive backgrounds (in Classic Mario’s stages) and stages in general.
Classic Mario’s health in this game resembles that of DKCR or SMB. 2, by using hearts; losing a heart when injured, and collecting hearts to gain them back. Modern Mario’s health meter, however, is the circle-type meter from Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy. As Classic Mario, you will go through the entire game only having three hearts, but occasionally you can find large hearts with 3’s on them that will give you an additional three hearts, adding up to six hearts (like the Life Shroom in SMG), though this only lasts until you are hurt three times, or until you complete the level. Losing all three of your hearts causes you to lose a Life. The animation of Classic Mario’s “Lose a Life” is the old school jump up and look at the screen bit, while Modern Mario’s is where he falls over, and the screen says “Too Bad”.
The game contains eight Worlds (counting World 0 and World 7) that are based off a different main series Mario game (except World 7), and each World contains eight stages (except World 0 and World 7) that are based off the Worlds of that game. The eight stages in each World are in a mixed order and are not in the same order as they are in the game they are from. The only stage that is in correct order is the Boss stage at the end, but only World 2, World 4, and World 6 have the original boss area where Bowser is fought, World 1, World 3, and World 5 have all been taken over by Wart’s minions.
The game’s Final Boss depends on if you’ve played with Modern Mario or Classic Mario more: If you’ve played as Modern Mario more, the Final Boss will be Bowser, but if you’ve played as Classic Mario more, then the Final Boss will be Wart. The player can, however, unlock the opposite Final Boss as well: Say you played as Modern Mario more and fought Bowser, but you wanted to fight Wart, what you must do is go back and replay any stages you didn’t play as Classic Mario in, except this time use Classic Mario. Do this until you’ve reached 96% completion with Classic Mario, then you’ll unlock the secret level in World 7: Wart’s Showdown, and vice versa.
To earn percentage for each Mario, you must touch the Character Medal (see Items and Objects section), which acts like the end-level marker in this game, and it will give 2% to whichever Mario you played the level as. Completing the final boss stage earns you 4%. The only stage that doesn’t have a Character Medal at the end is World 1-1 (Subcon).
There are 50 normal world stages in this game, 1 hidden final boss level, and 8 secret world levels. Since the first level in World 0 doesn’t have a Character Medal, completing all 49 other levels in the game with one Mario will get you 100%.
Now for the Secret World, this world is 1985, the release year of Super Mario Bros. Mario and Classic Mario must trek through all 8 levels (including the very hard boss battle) of this throw-back world to save the princess! There are no Character Medals in this world, instead hidden somewhere near the end of each level, there is a Golden Super Mushroom (like the ones in Mario Kart Wii) attached to some balloons. If all eight Golden Mushrooms are collected, you allowed one free purchase from the Nintendo eShop (the Golden Mushrooms will never appear in the game again once all are collected, not even when starting a new game). Once this is done, you will have fully completed Super Mario Legacy!

Bosses –
World 1: Mouser –
Mouser will attack by dropping Bomb Boxes on you and trying to hit you from above with a purple boxing glove. To hit him, get the boxing glove to break open the Bomb Box, then Throw the Bomb into a Bomb Box that Mouser is stacked on, once all 4 of the Boxes are gone, Throw the Bomb into Mouser’s glass dome to break it, and then jump on his head to finish him.
World 2: Bowser –
This battle with Bowser on top of his castle is just like it was in Super Mario World. He attacks by bouncing around in his Clown Car, dropping iron balls onto the floor, and swooping down to hit you, but now Bowser can also spit Fireballs. Peach will sometimes aid you in this fight by dropping Hearts/Coins for you. To hit him, wait until he drops a Mecha Koopa, then Throw it up at him when he swoops down, and after he falls onto the ground, jump on his head, do this 5 times to defeat him.
World 3: Tryclyde –
Tryclyde will attack you by spitting Fireballs from the safety of his pot, and making thorned vines occasionally burst from the grates on the two pillars. He will retreat into his pot if you get too close. To hit him playing as Modern Mario, Ground Pound the grate on the shortest pillar which will propel you to the medium-sized pillar and knock out a Bob-omb. Pick it up and toss it into Tryclyde’s pot. Once it has exploded and Tryclyde is dazed, now’s your chance to jump on his head! After you’ve done this twice, his pot will be bigger and require 2 hits from a Bob-omb, and then will require 3 Bob-ombs after 2 more rounds. With Classic Mario, follow the same steps except since you can’t Ground Pound, you’ll have to pick up a boulder sitting over to the side (which weigh you down), and jump into the grate. Do this 5 times to defeat the three headed fiend.
World 4: Bowser –
This battle is brought back from the final boss of Super Mario Sunshine, but has a few differences. Bowser will attack by spitting Fireballs, slamming his hand into the rim in which you are walking, and occasionally spitting long streams of fire. Jr. will attack by spitting smaller Fireballs, and firing homing Bullet Bills from his submarine. To attack, follow the same procedure as Super Mario Sunshine, run around to four different sides where a Pound symbol has been painted on, and use F.L.U.D.D to smash it, do this on all four sides to defeat the big brute for the second time.
World 5: Clawgrip –
Clawgrip sits in the background, so for now he is untouchable. He attacks by using multiple laser beams that are fired from above, small missiles that he fires from the background, and a robotic, gloved hand to try and smash you, if it manages to hit you (or if you’re near it when it slams into the ground), it will pick you up and drop you right above Clawgrip, who will snap you with his pincers. To hit him, wait until he drops a Bomb Box (be quick with this, because you are on a conveyor belt and the Box will pass by fast), then get the hand to hit it and pick it up, it will then drop it above Clawgrip, but it's already too late when he notices that it’s not you, and he is crushed by it. Do these steps 5 times to defeat him.
World 6: Bowser –
The second to last brawl with Bowser takes place out in space on a small planet once again, but now the Koopa King has changed his tactics quite a bit. In his first phase, he attacks by landing on to the arena trying to smash you, spitting huge Fireballs onto the arena which will spread out into a wave, smashing his fist into the ground, and he’ll occasionally turn into his spiked ball form from the first Super Mario Galaxy. To hit him, wait until he smashes his fist into the ground, then run up his arm and jump into his eye, do this 3 times to move on to the next phase. In this phase, he attacks by spitting homing Fireballs at you as he is floating in the background, and attempting to ram you in his spiked ball form. To hit him in his second phase, wait until he is coming at you as a spiked ball, and when he is in range/under you, use a Ground Pound/Spin Pound to knock one of the yellow rocks into him, then again when he is knocked out of ball form. Do this 3 times to defeat him for the third time.
World 7: Final Boss
Wart –
The battle with Wart is very similar to the original battle from Super Mario Bros. 2, but now he has a few new tricks up his sleeve thanks to the scepter. He begins by putting a shield around the area where his throne sits (like the shield around the edges of Kamella’s Airship in SMG) so he can’t be hit yet. He attacks by firing blasts of energy at you with the scepter, and he occasionally puts some of the scepter’s energy in his mouth and fire’s a beam at you. When he does this, it’s your time to strike. First, you’ll have to jump on the button in front of the Nightmare Machine to get at least one Vegetable to come out (it may take a few tries, a Vegetable won’t come out every time). Now, when Wart is about to fire the beam, he’ll open his mouth to take in energy from the scepter, when he does, throw the Vegetable into his mouth, which will cause him to pass out. When he does, the shield will be disabled so you can now run over and jump on his stomach (while he is down, though, the scepter will be floating in the air and firing blasts at you). You must repeat this 10 times (each time, he fire’s more blasts, closes his mouth quicker, and you have a smaller chance of getting a Vegetable out of the Nightmare Machine) to defeat The Great Frog King.
World 7: Final Boss
Bowser –
The last duel with Bowser of the game takes place on top of his giant Clown Car, where a circular platform rests surrounded on all sides by mines. Get the picture? He attacks by firing blasts from the scepter, trying to spin into you, and occasionally building up energy in the scepter and firing a huge wave at you. When this happens, you attack. Right before he fires the wave, he’ll lift his foot off of the ground to get power, when he does, make sure you are in the center of the arena, and Ground Pound the floor, sending a wave outward, tripping Bowser and causing him to fall on his stomach. Now run over to him before he gets up (be sure to dodge the blasts of energy the scepter is firing from above) and grab his tail, once you’ve got it, move the control stick in a circular motion to spin him around and press A to toss him into one of the mines, blowing it up, injuring Bowser, and releasing one of the metal beams connected to Peach’s cage. Repeat these steps until you’ve thrown Bowser into all 10 mines (each time, he fire’s more blasts, spins for a longer period, and puts his foot back down quicker) to defeat the Koopa King for the final time, and release Peach from her cage.
Secret World: Classic Bowser –
This battle can be very hard, because he has a lot of attacks that can be difficult to dodge if you don’t have fast hands. First, his looks. His arms and legs are orange, but his torso is green. He has bigger eyes with pure green pupils, and his head is green like normal, but it’s bald. He is fought in the same area as in the first game, but this is basically a completely different fight. His attack pattern is as follows: he'll jump up and down, spitting large Fireballs at you, and then he’ll hunch down and try to spin into you with his tail, which you’ll have to jump over in order to dodge. He’ll do this twice, ending up in the same spot as at the start of the fight. Next, he’ll begin throwing large hammers at you, a total of 5 before pulling an enormous hammer out of the lava and into the air. You’ll have to be in the exact right spot in order to dodge this hammer. Classic Bowser will then proceed to turn the tables on you by leaping backwards onto the switch, causing the platforms to begin falling. You’ll have to quickly leap onto the ledge before taking a dip into the lava. Now for the part where you get to hit the brute: in the next room, after attacking as he did last time, Classic Bowser will leap onto a ledge in the background and begin spitting Fireballs at you, followed by tossing the 5 hammers and even the giant hammer, which you must use a different tactic to dodge: it is thrown horizontally this time, and will completely fill the walking space. Once he throws the huge hammer, Classic Bowser will fire a large Fireball at the left end of the floor, causing the platforms to fall, all you must do is run to the right and jump on the button, which will cause a hammer to come down from behind Classic Bowser where he’s standing and hit him. You’ll have to repeat all of this three times, each time with him getting much harder. Once you’ve reached the final room, and have hit the switch, Classic Bowser will seemingly dodge the hammer, but it will swing back in from the front and knock him onto his back. Now, a Warp Pipe will come out of the switch, which will take you to the background ledge, and you will be able to jump on Classic Bowser’s stomach. After this, the back of the room will crumble and bury Classic Bowser and cover up the lava pit in the middle of the room. Before you go the door to the right, you can head across the rubble to find the left side door not blocked by rocks, and upon entering the room, you’ll discover the final Golden Mushroom. Now head into the right door to rescue Toadstool and Peach and complete Super Mario Legacy!
Holy crap, that's a lot of information to take in isn't it? But I want to thank you if you're down here reading this. And if it interested you (or even if it didn't), please feel free to give me your comments and/or thoughts below!
