Machoist.
Seriously, why should you be discouraged from something just because of the "feel"?

I don't care who the star is, if it's like Yoshi's Island (one of my favorite Mario games of all times), I want it.

Well since it's for the DS it's probably gonna suck.
Or gonna be more like a minigame than anything else.

From what I've seen, the touchscreen only gives four buttons to the system. Yes, there are probably minigames, but I don't think that the gameplay is gimmicky from what I know.

No gimmicks. Classic platforming all the way. The touch screen is only used for vibes and bosses (I think).

I've heard there are alot of mini games in it. But it's not an imposrtant part of the game play itself. More like unlockables.

I haven't had much time to play it lately (I'm just about to face the first boss), but I'm going to try to dive into it soon.

I got the game last week. It's not gimmicy at all. I ws delighted to see a bunch of old school monsters from YI and SMW in it. ;D My only complant is, it's incredibly short. I finished the main story in under 4 days. I'm not sure if was too easy or there just weren't enough levels, but overall, it was pretty good.

There's even a glossary of enemies, cut scenes, and a sound test.
