From French to English [Bowser's Inside Story]

I won't tell you the American names - just play the game at the same time for a better effect. Also the French version was translated from Japanese, thus it's closer to the original version than to the US version. But it's not the Japanese version, it's just close to it.

Part 1 ~ Prologue

Narrator: Toad Village.
Red Toad kid: Mom, I'm home!
His mother: Hello. You're back quite soon, today.
Red Toad kid: Meh, Mr. Shroomteacher, he wouldn't stop talking. I've got enough of it, so I discretely made off!
His mother: Gee, you'll never change, apparently! It's not like that that you'll become a respected Toad.

The father, being giant and ball-shaped, roll in and destroys a wall.
His mother: NOOOOO! HONEY!
Narrator: The rollballitis!!!! A strange disease hits the Mushroom kingdom! It's the rollballitis!! When you have this terrible disease, you suddently become all round and you start to roll without cease... Nobody knows its cause and there exists no cure yet... Everyday, more and more Toads catch the rollballitis... Very worried, princess Peach organized a crisis meeting at the castle...

Shroom Grandpa: Aah... What a tragedy... The kingdom never experienced such cataclysm...
Random red Toad 1: If it continues, all the subjects will catch the rollballitis... We must find the cause fast so that everything goes back to normal.
Random red Toad 2: But this is the first time it happens! We don't know what to do! Oh, wait, I have a great idea: to panic!

Toad: Very well! Look on the bottom right part of the upper screen.
Toad: These action icons indicate actions that you, Mario and Luigi, can do. At the moment, the shown action, that's your speciality, the jump. It happens that icon changes when Mario is near particular elements.
Toad: When Mario gets near of someone he can talk with, the icon changes, like this. Press A to start discussing.
Toad: When Mario gets near of something strange, the icon takes this form. In those cases, press A to check the item.
Toad: If the icon changes, press A! Don't forget it!
Toad: Ah, I forgot. There's a number under each icon, those are your HP, your vitality. If that number is low, you're in danger, so watch out.
Toad: Do you want me to repeat?
Mario: No thanks, it's all clear.
Toad: Are you ready?! So hurry up!!

Mario and Luigi go to the next room
Random red Toad 5: The meeting room is around here! Everyone's already there! Hurry up!! Toads in the castle want to talk with you too. If you want it, you can talk to them by pressing A. They must have tons of interesting things to tell you.
Random red Toad 5: If you want to talk to someone, press A.
Random red fat Toad 1: Aaah, there you are, Mario! Yay! With you, I'm sure I'll be cured! I'm confident in you! Good luck!
Random red Toad 6: Ah, Luigi! That makes a while since we last saw each other! You're not at home today?
Random red Toad 7: Mario! Today again, I see you're still as talented for jumping! Mario jumps with A and Luigi jumps with B.
Random red Toad 8: As you know, here is Peach's castle!

Random red Toad 9: The nurse that was here a hour ago... She's cute...
Random red fat Toad 2: The meeting room isn't here! The meeting room is over there!
Random red Toad 10: If you see a save block, jump under it. Once you saved, you don't have to worry anymore. « If you see a save block, save! » That's what my grandfather was always saying. Luigi can hit blocks too, obviously!

Shroom Grandpa: The rol'ball shroom? Hmmm... That's not a species from our kingdom... Who could sell such foodstuff?!
Toadbert: According to witnesses, the shopkeeper wore an ample cape. It seems it doesn't come from the Mushroom kingdom.
Gold Star: I see... That's very strange. Very well!! Let's find that shopkeeper!!
Shroom Grandpa: Master Mario!! Master Luigi!! It's your turn to act!! Make him undergo the same thing than the evil Bowser!
Bowser: BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
Bowser: Someone called me?!
Bowser: PRINCESS PEACH!! So, like that, I'm not invited?!
Peach: Why did you come here?! We're doing a meeting to save the kingdom!!
Bowser: What?! But I'm an inhabitant of the kingdom too!! So I too have the right to participate to this meeting!! Right?! Huh?! Come on, Shroom Grandpa, be nice, tell them I'm right!

Shroom Grandpa: Hmmm... But the kingdom goes through an unprecedented crisis. If we cancel the meeting, we won't fix the problem.
Peach: True, the rollballitis is a bigger problem than Bowser, after all. Let's continue the meeting!
Shroom Grandpa: Oh, Your Majesty!! I can easily recognize our kingdom's princess there!!
Shroom Grandpa: But this room can't be used anymore... Let's continue the meeting somewhere else.
Bowser: GWAAAAAH!

Mario is falling inide Bowser, only to awake much later. He realizes he's inside Bowser and sees an Hemoglobing that he hits like a block
Random Hemoglobing 1: Well? We rarely have any visit, bing. I'm a Hemoglobing. We know many things about our host, Bowser, bing. We'll learn you many things about Bowser's body, bing. If you find one of my comrades, don't hesitate to hit him, bing... Actually, we like being hit, bing.

Why does Fawful put an apostraphe after every r? And I just recognized all of those names that they said the new charactes would have before NoA gave them cooler names. (Gold Star... seriously)

And those aren't the original Japanese names either - Starlow is "Yellow Star". But that's worse than Gold Star, and sounds awkward in French anyway.

I had known that Fawful had a speaking quirk in every version, but I didn't know the French one was using too many "r"s

Is the R thing just in the French version, or is that how he talks in all the Europe releases?

Actually, it's a long story. He adds "ru" to the end of most of his sentences in the original version, and M&L1 had two different translators to do the work for the French version. One ignored the "ru" thing, and the other thought it'd make sense to add "r"s (although adding "ru" to the end of most sentences wouldn't have been awkward). As a result, in M&L1, Fawful speaks normally sometimes and like in M&L3 at other times. Then in M&L2 he speaks normally (the game was translated from English). So basically his way of speaking in M&L3 is a M&L1 reference.
