Winnie the Pooh ? Please tell me you're not serious about that. Please. I have respect for you. I am completely serious. That was my childhood. Disney has taken a serious nosedive, so it's great that they decided to show something like this. Really, they weren't even trying to cater to little kids when making this movie. One of the trailers I saw had a message on it that said, "Admit it. You miss them." Honestly, you take one look at them, see how they're all talking stuffed animals, and label them as a little kid's show. But... they're talking and acting like if the viewer was retarded (or a very young child, which makes more sense). Winnie the Pooh is as much for young children as Noddy is. And aren't people supposed to, I don't know... run away from their childhood ? My parents are seriously angry at me because I like Kirby, even though they've seen Zero's bloody death and all, so... And I won't even mention their reaction when I told them I'd like to watch Toy Story 3. I still feel like an idiot about that.

FUNFUNFUNFUNFUN. But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII'MMM the only one! Hoo hoo huh hoo! (In case it wasn't obvious, I saw the movie, anyone want my review?)
And you forget that most people consider Mario to be childish... yet here we all are. Childishness is in the eye of the beholder. Screw what other people think.

Hey everybody, I'm going to be attending Otakon 2011 this weekend with a friend and I will be our first Anime Convention, or rather, our first Convention at all. It's in Baltimore, Maryland for those who don't know and it's one of the largest in the world, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for first-time Con-goers, or if any of you will be attending maybe we could get the chance to meet in person. I'll be Cosplaying as Keima Katsuragi (a.k.a "The God of Conquest") from the Anime/Manga series, The World God Only Knows.

It's like a smaller Otakon. Basically, have fun. Drink plenty of water, eat plenty of Pocky, and don't get to creeped out if someone wants to take your photo.

Can do, SMBMaster; Also guys, I'm pretty sure I want to attend the HAL University of Technology & Design for College, mainly because they have such close ties with Nintendo. I'm thinking I could move to Japan right after graduation (I'm in the Class of 2013), which I already planned on doing even before I decided that I wanted to go into Game Design, and if I het in I'll apply for a Student Travel Visa. By the time I graduate from HAL, I graduate from HAL, and get a Worker Travel Visa, I should have been a resident for five years and can apply for citizenship. Sorry to bother you all with my long-term goals, but hey, who else is there to bother

@kmj I will, and I'll try my hardest to get into Nintendo! Also, is the 3DS great or what, I've been playing OoT3D, SSFIV3D, and RE:M3D quite a bit, as well as Pokemon White Version (which, even though I bought it on day 1, haven't found the time to start getting into it until a few weeks). Are you going to get Mario Kart when it comes out? If enough people get it we can organize a Mario Kart 3D Launch Tournament here on the Forum, and that would be super fun.
P.S. I'm on my way to Baltimore now, and it's only a 7h drive from where I live (Kentucky), so we should be there before 4 PM.

Mario Kart 3DS tournament sounds fun. I'll probly end up getting that for Christmas though. Say, how come we haven't had Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart tournaments here yet? Ok, everyone with a pokemon game, SSBB, or Mario Kart Wii please say so here and I'll see if I can organize a tournament.

Speaking of new release prices, did anyone hear how the 3DS price has dropped about 100 dollars since launch? AND that they plan to give everyone who owns it before August 12 20 FREE GAMES. (10 Virtual Console Classics and 10 Handheld Classics)
EDIT: I have Pokemons Heart Gold and Platinum, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii. Btw, now that you are online, did you want to hear my opinion on Winnie the Pooh, Mariobro?

Ok. Yeah, Winnie the Pooh was a really great movie. It was nice to see the Theme Song playing as the characters ran across the map of the Hundred Acre Wood. And it was also pretty nice to hear the Tigger song (at least the parts that they sung).
What I didn't like was that they really didn't show much of Kanga or Roo (and they didn't even put Gopher in the movie), but there was plently of Tigger humor in there and Eyeyore was as gloomy as usual. Pooh was exactly how I remembered him and Piglet was as well. Rabbit seemed a bit different from the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh incarnation of him and acted a bit more like he did in the book. Owl was the same old half scatterbrain half genius.
One of things that I appreciated was that the whole plot of the movie was more or less made because of a misunderstanding made by Owl. He even lampshades how back soon sounds a lot like Baxon. Probably the funniest part of the movie though, is when Owl falls into the Baxon trap and you expect him to just fly out at any minute. Then he actually DOES fly out only to fly back into the hole. You see a confused expression on everyone's face (as if to say, "You mean you could have flown out the whole time?") but they only wanted to compliment the speech that he just gave to Piglet.
And in case you didn't notice, this move breaks the fourth wall... a lot. Actually they break the fourth wall so much that the broken remains of the fourth wall throw themselves into a fire to avoid being broken any more. How bad does it get? At one point Piglet flies into the letters of the page they are on and knocks them into the hole that everyone is stuck in. It doesn't sound that bad right now, but right after the letters fall in the hole, Pooh uses the letters to make a ladder out of the hole. Yeah, I'm sure anyone who enjoys fourth wall breaking will enjoy this movie.
One thing I don't get though is that they are stuffed animals imagined by a boy who lives in real life. Now, this boy's adventures get writen into a book. The book gets filmed by a movie camera and somehow captures Cristopher Robin's imagination. Pooh and his friends know that they are in a book, but do they know they are in the imagination inside of a book inside of a movie? inside a dream inside of another dream inside of an elephant Yeah, Winnie the Pooh is the new Inception.

But yeah. I agree with you on the most part. But while it was a shame that they didn't include Gopher in the story, I really couldn't think of a reason for him to be in it. So sorry to say, but I think the only reason he's even remembered is because of the New Adventures cartoon. Speaking of, look what I found.

I would have liked for Gopher to be in there, but I guess I'm happy enough that all the other characters made it in. And Gopher is still part of the ride. And yeah, I just looked up that song about a week ago cause I couldn't remember how the tune went. Ah, I remember when I would watch that show all the time.

I'm talking about the Winnie the Pooh where the characters have annoying voices and talk like they are 4 years old about insanely boring and obvious stuff, without even trying to have any sort of humor or something that other people who are forced to watch with their older brother / son would get a laugh at. Basically, a show for young children. The only Winnie the Pooh that exists. It may be good as a show for young children, but not for people who can actually count over 10. Also, I now have Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Anyone wants to share FCs ?

Question: I have SoulSilver on an AceKard. I used cheat codes to get Event Pokémon I missed(example:Mew). Are they legal, or not Wi-Fi worthy? I wouldn't know. Sorry.

Nope. I'm talking about "Winnie the Pooh". It's for children under 6. You CAN NOT prove otherwise, or defend that. Dora, Noddy, Winnie, Disney Junior stuff... These are all for the same and only target.
