We don't know what the powers of those in the WarioWare series are other than what's shown in their short stories. They've never been in a platformer, RPG or adventure game to really let anyone test out exactly how 'normal' their physical attributes and abilities are.
Being a genius is a bit of a power... Reed Richards? Lex Luthor? Many, many comic book heroes and villains have 'genius scientist' as their sole 'power'. Being a ninja is unusual in the modern day world, including the modern day of the Mushroom Kingdom.
They're gonna inevitably to be shown as not 'normal' anyway, as soon as a human character takes a more platform/adventure/RPG based hero/villain role. Remember, did the Toads appear to be special ability wise until New Super Mario Bros Wii, assuming those Toads were part of the Toad Brigade?
Trust me, if there's ever a WarioWare platformer, a WarioWare/Wario Land cross over or anything like my Mario and Luigi 4 game idea, the normal Diamond City humans will likely be shown to be more than that.

Or they could be shown as being as useless as the Toads. It all depends on whether they have a major role or not

Most humans we HAVE seen are shown to be not useless, save for maybe the NPCs in the sports RPGs. The rest all have some sort of major role or special ability to contribute. From this I conclude that being a human in the Mushroom World automatically propels you to a higher status, be in terms of position or aptitude.

Not for the Diamond City humans. Plus Waluigi doesn't have any special abilities. Unless you count the whole swimming on air thing

Waluigi was a normal human before (well, except for his superhuman purpleness ) but when he became jealous of Luigi, he started training day and night so that he could become stronger than Luigi himself one day (which is almost impossible considering Luigi is a Star Child). I guess that's how he developped his own magic, and became so physically strong (his legs are about as powerful as Chuck Norris').

Oh come on, we're just playing.
What's the point of doing this thing if we don't have fun doing it?

There is nothing wrong with making a joke about the topic at hand. Making a joke about something that has nothing to do with what anyone said isn't a good thing to do often though
