I assumed Bowser just wanted to Kill Mario himself, which would explain why he didn't Wish for his death.

He could have killed Mario himself at the start of the game. But being Bowser, he simply wished to beat him, he didn't thought about killing him.

...Well, uh, back on topic: valigarmander.deviantart.com/art/Super-Mario-Bros-Cosmology-156526426?qj=1&q=boost%3Apopular+super+mario+rpg&qo=375I found this interesting piece of artwork while surfing around, and I think it's quite a nice representation of what the heck is going on in the star realms. It doesn't cover the matter of Geno or Star Sprites or whatnot, but it does a nice job of summing things up. I'm a huge fan of the idea that all the "star realms" in the sky (Star Road, Star World, Star Haven, Star Shrine, World 9, etc.) are connected; likewise, I like the idea that all the terrestrial entrances to the star realms (Star Hill, Shooting Star Summit, possibly Stardust Fields, etc.) are the same place, or at least that they're all related somehow, which is probably why this picture feels right to me.

Here's a point... I wonder what relation Star Road (Super Mario World) and maybe world 9 (New Super Mario Bros Wii) have to this whole celestial thing?
And what about the Dark Star? Was that thing once some kind of fallen angel type thing that got thrown out?

I remember reading this theory that World 9 of NSMBW was actually the Star Road after it was rebuilt by Geno. I just can't remember where though.
If that's true, then is it possible that the Star Road in SMW is the same?

I thought World 9 was supposed to be Rainbow Road. It's all psychedelic and has the exact same background music.
As for the Star Road, I thought the 'Star Road' in SMW only referred to the Stars on the map that took you to Star World, which in turn leads to Special World.
The Star Road Geno was talking about is probably another location entirely.
A better question would be how the heck to reconcile this Star Road with Star Haven, as both apparently exist for delivering wishes.

Easy: Star Haven=Place where the Star Spirits reside. It is where Wishes are granted via Star Rod. Star Road=A "bridge" between the Universe, and the Spirit Realm(of which Star Haven is only a part). It also carries the Wishes to Star Haven. No Star Road. No granted Wishes.
