Listening, yeah, there is. But it's definitely unintentional.

Culex's theme is the Final Fantasy IV boss theme (for the one person who didn't know that) - Square is never letting Nintendo have that piece, any more than Nintendo is going to let Square use the SMW platformer theme.
Changing the subject, is it just me, or is Super Mario Galaxy too "big" to integrate with the planet-bound spinoff series? Mario's previous adventures were comparable in scale to each other (explore area between Texas and Europe in size, beat up villain, rescue Peach and save region), but Galaxy ups the ante too much for a planet-bound adventure to seem like anything but an anticlimax.

Only in SMG2 did it feel anticlimactic in comparision to the first, but that's the only time. I think SMG was one of the best Mario games, up there with SMW.

I personally think SMG & SMG2 rival, if not surpass, SMW.

Really? I think SMW is the best out of the Mario sidescrollers, with SMW2:YI being a close second. I do think SMG is better than SMG2, though.

As much as I love SMG, and how Memorable it's Galaxies were, I have to say SMG2 is slightly better. Super Mario World IS the Best, but the Galaxy games are a close Second.

Sorry. I wasn't saying that SMG was bad. I was saying that its scale is so big that going back to an adventure only on the Mushroom Planet could feel too small.

Not really. Technically, the Mushroom Kingdom is bigger than what Mario went through - it's not like he entirely visited all the places he went through. Most of what he went through were small places, smaller than a room. And Nintendo always finds a way to make every new Mairo adventure fresh and new anyway.

Mario games are the one thing that Miyamoto never messes up. EVAR. If he gies the game to someone else, it COULD be a faliure, but it isn't likely

Well, Nintendo of America had that idea a few times.
The result ? Hotel Mario, Mario is Missing! and educative crap.
