While listening to the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy theme, I realized I have no idea how Luigi was even able to make it to the Starship Mario in SMG2. So, does anyone have any ideas how he couldhave made it?

He was probably in one of the Locations that Bowser ripped from the Planet, and he Platformed his way from there! This of course, would only make sense if my Theory was correct. If I'm wrong though, he could have used a Launch Star...

If he used the Castle's launch star, his heart would have stopped due to how fast he was launched. And if he survived, he couldn't get farther than Yoshi's house anyway.
Here are two theories: - He used the Toad Brigade's Starshroom (not SMG2's Toad Brigade, I'm talking about the ones that were promoted at the end of SMG). - He did the same way as they did for going to all those Rainbow Road tracks. Some mysterious way of travelling we don't know yet.

The Toad Brigade from SMG2 is the same from SMG1 and SMS.

Proof ? ... outside of the facts the Toad Brigade in SMG2 met Mario for the first time, wasn't promoted and doesn't have a Starshroom initially, and the Toads in SMS don't have anything to separate themselves ?

Well, if you believe the Supermassive Black hole at the end of SMG sent everyone back to the morning of the Star Festival, than it would mean they wouldn't havemet Mario yet. The Grand Finale Galaxy could have taken place after SMG2 as well.

When you meet the Toad Brigade in SMG2, they are on the StarShroom, and Red Toad refers to himself as "Toad Brigade Captain"!

He has always been the Toad Brigade Captain though. But in SMG1 the brigade was promoted as high ranked soldiers of the Mushroom Castle. And wasn't SMG2's Starshroom made by the Brigade and a Luma ?
And in the Grand Finale Galaxy level, it clearly happens after the ending scene and the Starshroom is parked right outside of the castle.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that it's not the same Group! This is why Time Traveling at the end of SMG1 would make more sense!

I repeat: after the end of SMG1 they still remembered what happened, and they still had the Starshroom. The Grand Finale Galaxy level is about the Star Festival being celebrated again, after the game's ending. It may also foreshadow SMG2's intro (that also happens during the Star Festival). If they are the same group, explain why they forgot their space adventures, lost the Starshroom and forgot about Lumas between SMG1 and 2.
And one of the Toads refers to the Red Toad as the "new capitain", which may either mean that A) It's the same group but the Red Toad went away with the Starshroom for no reason, or 2) They just created the Toad Brigade.

The problem is, it doesn't have to be THE Starshroom. The Toads have tons of these ships floating around (Purple Coins by the Sea Slide, anyone?) It might be any one of those.

But we've only seen one RED StarShroom! On a side Note, Ijust had the Idea that the Gatway Galaxy could be the StarShip Mario! Any thoughts?

There's also the possibility of repainting ships, you know. Oh, heh, the one about Gateway being Starship Mario is interesting. It looks very devastated in the beginning, so it might have been anything, but I think what's missing is the three big craters. Even total destruction of the houses wouldn't have closed the craters without a trace. EDIT: But the mini-version of Gateway from Deep Dark doesn't have craters. So it might very well be Gateway! After some magic.

The Meteors Clogged them, you notice 4 Large Meteors, they could have sealed the Craters, while the Impact leveled the Planet itself!

I must admit, this is a very nice theory, but since the game makes absolutely no allusions to the planet that later becomes Starship Mario being of any importance, it can neither be proven nor disproven and is probably wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong, it's totally cool wishful thinking. I wish there was a link between these two, too, the designers really missed out on that one.

You mean that they're parts ripped from the Mushroom Kingdom with their own atmosphere etc.? Oh, I even commented on that a few times. I know that one! It does a good job of explaining away some discrepancies in world/level backgrounds.

Actually this one was a List of all the Galaxies from SMG2, and where they came from!

No large planets? The backgrounds of Dreadnought and Battlerock Galaxies would like to speak with you.
