Haven't played the original as of yet, so I'm more worried about getting that first.

Got it first day it came out. Excellent game. A must buy if you are a kirby fan.
(but why would you want to get the older outdated version before this game?)

Because I'll be able to appreciate the original more.

Not to everyone. Who knows, there are probably people out there who like the original better because of minor changes between the games.

I like the older sprite style better (SNES sprites are all awesome), but that's all. I like the game, but I don't really see why it's so highly ranked. It's just a normal Kirby game.

It's not, actually, if you look at some official reviews. Then again, the original didn't, either. Aside from Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Canvas Curse, the games don't get insanely good reviews because they all feel too similar. Having played Kirby Super Star now (finally), I can safely say that although the game is great, it's not the best game of all time like a lot of people claim it to be. I wouldn't even say it's the best Kirby game (Kirby's Adventure FTW). It's probably #2 on the Kirby list, but Adventure...just oozes awesomeness. Super Star didn't quite get that feeling with me, thanks to the reused mini-bosses, less original normal bosses, and not as creative level design (plus the tendency to wander around aimlessly). But again, it has its own merits from the multiple games which adds diversity, but I still prefer Adventure.

I know, Kirby's Adventure was my favorite game of all time when I was a little kid playing my NES (we didn't get an N64 until 2000, and the SNES and Genesis I just didn't really like). Everything in the game was just....so fun! Too bad my uncle stole it from my grandma and sold it sometime before I turned 10. D< SSE in Brawl should have been modeled after it instead of Super Star.

I don't see what is that good about adventure I have it on VC and I beat it (it is relly fun but if you play the later games before this one it seems to similar) btw I finally got KSSU!

It seems too similar? :/ The other ones are similar to it. Not the other way around. Adventure was nearly flawless. Amazingly creative boss fights, some of the better mini-games I've seen, a clever way of making the map screen different from Super Mario Bros. 3 (By making them platforming areas), lots of stuff to do, great level design, catchy music, and even fan service, particularly the last level of the game before Dedede. If there's one fault, it's that it's too short and a bit too easy, but the latter is probably the least true here compared to other Kirby titles, not counting Kirby's Dream Land under the right conditions. KSS reused too much.

The original game was so hard without powers...

I thought the first round was quite easy, actually. But once you get to Hard mode, it picks up the pace. And if you change around the game to give you one health point and zero extra lives on Hard mode, it becomes extremely intense.

Do you own it? After you beat it, it gives you a button combination that you can enter to start Hard Mode. Beat that and you can mess around with the Debug menu to make the game harder or easier, as well as listen to sounds and music.

wow that sounds hard to get. I'll stick with adventure. (btw I thought Adventure was a copy because the first Kirby game I ever played was KatAM unless you count SSB 64)
