Well, in the French version it's a pun on a city, so I didn't know. Do you think Kurifornia is the homeland of most Goombas ? Maybe that Toads originate from here too ?

Kuri means chestnut in Japanese. It's only used to describe goombas. Toads have their own word. (Heh, Kurifonia...I like that )

You havent seen bad puns until you've played Vectorman 2. Stage 6: Magma P. I. Stage 9: Dirty Job (its a digging level) Stage 11: I Can Dig It (another digging level) Stage 13: Mist Chances. Stage 17: The Shadow Nose (ironically, the boss of the level is just green floating eyes and mouth.) Stage 19: Tank You (tank form level) Need I say more?

Back to the point, I dont know if I was actually joking, but some wild goombas are likely dumb enough to be considered wildlife. WAIT! IVE GOT IT! Goombas must reproduce by spores, so they must 'spawn' constantly. Wait, what about mother paragoombas? Actually, they drop what are officially called 'Micro Goombas', and the brick goombas are called 'Pile Driver Micro Goombas'. NSMB has Micro Goombas that are essentially goombas the size of Mini Mario. We already know that if a Mega Mushroom ran into a Goomba in the beta version, it would become a Mega Goomba, so Micro Goombas must just be goombas that ran into Mini Mushrooms. Or, maybe they really are young goombas, and Mother Paragoombas reproduce, then keep the spores handy. But really, to throw their kids at plumbers, they must be terrible parents, and are likely shunned by other goombas. Goombas would thus be technically genderless, but would develop a 'male' or a 'female' personality. But why would Dupree or those three goombas below Rougeport hit on Goombella? Such a perplexing mystery.

Kuri means chestnut in Japanese. It's only used to describe goombas. Toads have their own word. (Heh, Kurifonia...I like that ) Pretty much every area in M&L3 is a pun on something (in the French and Japanese version have the same puns, while the other European versions don't have any pun, and the English version has different puns - that are barely funny, too), so it's not really a problem.
